This was my first B&B experience, staying at the Looking Glass House in Stratford, ON. Jean was a wonderful hostess and served us a delicious breakfast every morning during our stay. The beautiful old house was located walking distance from the Festival Theatre and Avon River. The Gold room had a private bathroom and lock on the door. My daughter and I traveled together this time and I'm glad we decided to stay at the Looking Glass House. I would come back again for sure.

Jean could not have been more accommodating - we were met on arrival, asked what time we would prefer breakfast and our room was lovely, extremely clean and well appointed with ensuite shower suite. Incredible full breakfast with a variety of home made muffins, preserves, fresh fruit, yogurt, french toast, also hot entrees (eggs/bacon/sausages) - one of the best b&b's I have stayed in and would highly recommend. Jean is so warm and gracious and made us feel right at home. Lovely garden area in rear to enjoy a beverage and a chat, small comfy tv lounge area and dining room with open fridge and coffee/tea accessibility 24/7 - ample room to park your vehicle and an easy walk to theatres and shopping. What else could you ask for! Can't wait to return for those award winning pear muffins! Sandie, Toronto Canada.

Location is only a 10 minute walk from everywhere. The rooms are adorable and the beds are comfortable. The breakfasts were out of this world. My friend even asked to buy the extra muffins. Jean is host extraordinaire, we will be back.

I guess I would give it 3 and a half stars. The house is nice, the rooms clean and cosy. The breakfasts were not bad. However, the bed was creaky, the walls paper-thin so you could hear your beighbors, and you could hear people going to the bathroom and showering. That is especially annoyong if they get up early and the noise wakes you up. Other than that, it's a good location and the hosts are nice.
