I only stayed at Buckingham House for a day but I can highly recommend it and the host Shelly. Shelly was very accommodating as I had both an early arrival, about noon, (taking in a matinee at the Shakespeare Festival Theatre), and a later departure the next day. The breakfast was superb; the rooms nicely set up and attractive. There...

Our 3 days at the Buckingham House was a wonderful experience The proprietor Shelly was beyond gracious, not to mention her cooking talents-the breakfasts were so delicious! The Buckingham House has three beautiful rooms and private baths, all decorated in a vintage style with antique furnishings throughout the house.

The room was spectacular. Nothing out of place or amiss. The entire house is beautiful and a little retreat all in its own. Quiet, on site parking and a residential neighbourhood The host is an engaging intelligent and caring person intent on welcoming and serving us. The house is conveniently located within easy walking distance to the Avon theatre and...

My girlfriend and I recently stayed at the Buckingham House. Shelley is a marvelous hostess, was extremely helpful, informative and welcoming, and prepared absolutely marvelous breakfasts. The house itself is beautiful and spotless; not only was our own room (the Elizabeth Room) both lovely and beautifully appointed, but we just loved the common sitting room and library. Even the location...

Our room was the lovely front en suite. Truly with a water closet but the room was comfortable and roomy. We are doing nutrisystems and asked for access to a microwave to fix our packaged lunches and dinners. Shelley went out and bought a microwave so we would have it the next day. There's a fridge upstairs for guest use...

My wife and I enjoyed 3 nights here while atttending the Stratford festival, and we felt we couldn't have chosen a better place to stay. The hostess is wonderfully welcoming and an engaging conversationalist. The house is wonderfully appointed in antiques and absolutely spotless. The breakfasts were outstanding, with quiche and crepes to die for. The location is very convenient...

I stayed in the William room again; I love how bright the 3 windows make the room. One of my favourite things is the chaise lounge in that room, so comfortable to recline on and read. The house is very tastefully decorated and the gardens are the proprietor's pride and joy, as they should be, they are outstanding. Shelly goes...

Off the beaten path of Stratford and near several restaurants. Most rooms have an ensuite bath. The other guests provide for interesting conversation at breakfast. The food is delicious. Meals are served at a common table. There are plenty of books in the small areas to browse. Good place if you are in Stratford for the theatre.

Loved staying here. I was lucky enough to get the William room at the last minute. Large and airy with three windows, 2 facing north and 1 facing east. Breakfast was wonderful, from her fresh baked muffins, a marvelous avacado & orange salad (need the recipe for that dressing) and then a fabulous quiche with bacon strips on the side....
