We enjoyed our stay at the Shady Nook! A bit of a walk to the main Stratford area, but not too bad. You need a car to get to the Festival Theatre, especially for ladies in heels. The room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was really good and the hosts are very friendly and helpful. We like to stay... More

During August, I came with two other couples to The Shady Nook and was welcomed by one of the most outgoing, informative, sociable owners of the B&B, Mollie. We had lovely accommodations, an amazing breakfast, cooked by David, and was able to relax after dinner on the back deck with fruit and drinks provided by our hosts. On a hotter... More

I am missing homemade scones--and everything else: fluffy omletts, pecan waffles, fresh fruit, perfect coffee, and generous, informative hosts. I can't imagine a better home in Stratford.I highly recommend Shady Nook as a well located, fresh and clean, brimming with hospitality B&B.

This is our first time staying at b&b and we absolutely love it. Quiet place close to everything, the convenience store, the river, the theatres and downtown area. The room was very clean and it's got everything you need for a short stay. There is a pool in the backyard which is definitely a plus. David's homemade breakfasts were fantastic,... More

Hello again Stella and Sean, You were so interesting to talk with and we learned much about the Chinese language and immigration rules and Pokemon. I am glad that this first stay was a good introduction to staying in a family home. Yes, that pineapple-mint water is tasty. Please return again soon so we can continue to learn more about... More

Shady Nook is the keenest place to spend time in Stratford. Not an exaggeration at all. David and Mollie are the best hosts anywhere. If you are looking for a bed and breakfast stay in Stratford, look no further.

Hey David and Dory, The connection we had with all of you was sort of like fate and I am grateful the opportunity presented itself as a surprise, but ended in a warm and special vibe that will continue to be there until our next visit. Molly and David are very friendly, and make a special effort to make guests comfortable. All our breakfasts were tasty treats. And we appreciated their suggestion to visit the Stratford museum, a site I had not known about in all my past visits.

This was our second stay at Shady Nook, but the first with the new owners David and Molly. From the moment Molly warmly greeted us as we pulled into the driveway until our departures four days later, we felt completely at home. The rooms were comfortably and thoughtfully furnished, and very peaceful. The highlight each morning was--of course--David's delightful baked... More

I had a fantastic weekend at The Shady Nook. Thank you, Molly, for taking such excellent care of me. The room was comfortable and bright. David's breakfast was delicious. The pool was the cherry on top. The Shady Nook is across the river from the theatres but an enjoyable walk (all three theatres are within walking distance).
