My partner and I stayed at 172 Ballantyne B&B in Stratford for four nights in mid-August while we attended plays at the Stratford Festival and it proved an excellent choice. Manfred and Milton, who run the B&B, were very welcoming, hospitable, and kind. It’s an older house, but it’s clean and well maintained and Manfred and Milton have put a... More

An excellent B&B with a large spacious bedroom/sitting room, great view of the garden, plentiful and tasty breakfasts, within walking distance of downtown and all theatres and a friendly and informative host in Manfred. Would definitely stay here again.

For the second consecutive year, my friend and I stayed at 172 Ballantyne with our delightful hosts, Milton and Manfred. She and I are already planning next year's visit to see the 2017 Festival plays and to renew what has now become a warm friendship with our two remarkable hosts. Up one flight of stairs, our twin bedroom with private... More

I have now stayed with Manfred and Milton 3 times and each time is a delight! Accommodations are wonderful and the home is clean, cheery and a great place to relax and unwind. It is also a stone's throw from the Festival Theater so no need to fight with traffic or tourists after the show. The best part is getting... More

Loved this place. It is located on a tree-lined street, and is full of plants and flowers inside and has a large garden outside. I stayed in the front bedroom, which was quiet and very clean, and, although somewhat small, had more than adequate closet space and an en suite bathroom. There are two large sitting rooms and an outdoor... More

The location is great. It is just three houses off Queen Street, really close to the Festival Theatre. So close that we arrived back at 172 Ballantyne following a late play at the Festival Theatre even before most theatre patrons found their cars. It was a real treat after a busy day. In the morning, we had a delicious homemade... More

172 Ballantyne B&B is under new owners Manfred and Milton who are both very warm and accommodating hosts. Located on a quiet residential street, the grounds have been beautifully landscaped and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. We stayed in the twin bedroom which was small but very comfortable and very clean. There was an ensuite bath with a shower... More

Hi Sue, Thanks so much for your glowing review. We find that more and more people are actually reading the reviews -- even though we are no longer Ballantyne House but go by the name of 172 Ballantyne B & B. But it is the same location and we're getting notifications about our reviews. Glad that you and your husband... More

My wife and I have stayed at the Ballantyne House B & B annually for the past four or five years during our annual visits to the Stratford Shakespeare Festival. This year we were accompanied by two friends, who, like us, found our hosts, Marlene and Ralph Robinson, to be most gracious. The home, like the vast majority of Stratford... More

My wife and I have attended the Stratford Shakespeare Festival almost every year for the past 50 years and have stayed in dozens of Stratford B & Bs over that period of time.
