We visited the Queen and Albert B&B last week. We had been there before for a family visit and the theatres in Stratford. The place has new owners. It was good, NOW IT IS BETTER. New beds, lighter colors and delicious breakfast. EVERY DAY The new owners are so friendly and hospitable. You have to go and enjoy the place.

We stayed here when we came to Stratford to attend some plays. It's a super interesting space, used to be a butcher shop. Converted, it's got huge glass windows, lots of light, and very high ceilings. Our room was very comfortable, and had a little balcony where we could sit out for a few minutes at night. Lovely place, great breakfast.

I can’t say enough about or sing the praises more loudly to the world in celebration of the wonderful Queen & Albert Bed & Breakfast – in Stratford, Ontario. Without a doubt, this is the most delightful B & B experience I have ever had in my 40 years of rugged global travel. The location is ideal: in the beautiful, cultured, friendly and very pretty city of Stratford – close to the River Avon. But the hosts – Alexina (Ali) and Greg – are what really made this trip so memorable. Without a doubt, they are the kindest, most hospitable and generous people in the B & B business. They went far beyond the call of duty to make us feel comfortable and looked for extra ways to include us in their family. And Ali creates some of the finest granola and home-baked bread this side of Heaven. In fact, she probably surpasses the angelic hosts in her domestic culinary and cooking arts and skills. Really, if you visit Stratford, Ontario, you need to visit The Queen & Albert Bed & Breakfast: it will be a memory you treasure long after you have completed your bucket list.

The granola misses you, Tony! It's sad and lonely and the only time people eat it is when I put it in parfaits! Not quite true, but close. We truly enjoyed meeting you and Sybil and hope our paths cross again. Thank you for your wonderful words. Now we just have to live up to them. Thank you again, Alexina

My friend and I have been going to Stratford for about 10 years. We have stayed at the Queen and Albert for 8 of those years. We like it because it is located close to theatres and shopping and dining, yet is one block off the main street (so it is quiet). The room we choose has two single beds, a large sitting area, and a nice bathroom. Alexina and Greg are terrific hosts; very attentive to our needs and accommodating. Everything is kept spotless and in great condition. The breakfasts are truly outstanding in quality and quantity, with most ingredients locally sourced and freshly bought. Alexina is careful to inquire about any allergies, as well as what we like to eat. We will continue to stay there in future years.

I’ve stayed at Queen & Albert twice now and have already booked a third stay. The rooms are so easy to like, each with a sitting area as well as in suite washroom. The New York Room even has a microwave for those of us who managed to miss out on a dinner time between shows! The Q&A is nicely located, especially for shows at the Festival. We walked, including pushing a wheelchair, to the costume warehouse, the Avon and Studio Theatres, and around downtown with no hassle. The best part of staying here, however, are the hosts, Greg and Alexina, who have a comfortable manner that put us immediately at ease. They make sincere efforts to make sure guests’ needs are met, adjusting breakfast times and food items and even taking a guest to the nearby train station by car during breakfast so that she didn’t have to tote her luggage there on foot. I could go on for some time about the breakfasts, which are sufficiently satiating as to allow us to skip lunch, but I will let you discover that joy for yourself. I cannot recommend the Queen & Albert highly enough.

Thank you, Jennifer, for taking the time to review us so generously. We are always happy when guests enjoy themselves and let us know we're on the right track. We thoroughly enjoyed hosting your sister/daughter/niece stay and look forward to seeing you again soon. Alexina P.S. My apologies for taking so long to respond, I managed to mispost a couple of responses and yours was one. Hopefully this time things will go better.
