Very friendly people, comfortable rooms and the most delicious breakfasts. Great location for trips to Niagara on the Lake with lots of vineyards nearby for wine tasting and dinners. We had a great time and trust you will to.
We had such an amazing stay at The Red Coat. The location is perfect, just in between Niagara Falls and Niagara on the Lake. Sandra is so friendly and she was very accommodating for breakfast. I have an egg allergy and she took on the challenge and made me wonderful breakfasts each morning, it really shows that she values the people staying there and she is open to a challenge! We stayed in the Brock Suite and it was very spacious, had a nice balcony and a lovely bathroom. The property is well maintained and has many lovely gardens, and the house was very clean and well kept. I will definitely be coming back anytime I am staying in the Niagara area!
We had a very enjoyable stay at the Red Coat B&B. Sandra was extremely friendly. Breakfasts were excellent. Sandra made sure to accommodate our dietary needs. The house was clean and welcoming. It was located on a quiet street about half-way between Niagara Falls and Niagara on the Lake -- a perfect location for us. We stayed in the Sheaffe Loft which was a bit "quirky" but perfect for our needs. I suggest you discuss with the owner before booking that room. The room is large with a private deck. However, it is two flights up with low sloped ceilings on the sides of the room, and the tub is in the bedroom area. Not for everyone, but fine for us. We will definitely return.
This was our second time at the Red Coat. A perfect place to stay between Niagara Falls and Niagara on the Lake. We like to to bicycle so this was an ideal place to stay and visit the local wineries and bicycle to Niagara Falls and the surrounding area. it was comfortable, quiet and affordable and the breakfasts were excellent. Sandra and Keith are wonderful hosts.
We had an excellent stay at The Red Coat. Being between Niagara Falls and Niagara-on-the-Lake, the location was perfect for us as it allowed us to easily split our time in the area between both major hubs. The place was very well maintained. It's clean and modern, yet charmingly old-fashioned at the same time. We really enjoyed our private balcony at night too. Sandra, our host, was very kind and helpful, yet not intrusive in any way. And the breakfast out on the front porch was fantastic! The Red Coat is definitely a nice place to stay at a very reasonable price.
We greatly enjoyed our stay at The Red Coat, which is at a convenient location just a short distance from the theatre, restaurants, and shopping in Niagara-on-the-Lake and the many vineyards and wineries in the area. Sandra, the host, was warm and welcoming, and my room on the upper floor of the B&B—the Sheaffe Loft—was a lovely, clean, comfortable, and spacious suite with a balcony. The breakfasts Sandra prepared were delicious; and she also kindly, graciously, and skillfully accommodated my dietary requirements. Other members of my family had reserved the other two rooms, so we had the whole B&B to ourselves during the weekend. One of the members of our family kindly thought to bring charcuterie and wine for lunch, which we enjoyed while sitting on the larger balcony of the Brock Suite. The entire weekend was really lovely and memorable. We hope to return to The Red Coat again next year, and I would highly recommend this lovely place to anyone who is planning a trip to the area.…
We cannot say enough wonderful things about this bnb. Starting with our host, Sandra was wonderful. She gave us great tips on parking at the falls and spots that are less crowded from tourists. We stayed in the Sheaffe Loft, and it was fantastic. The tub was incredible for relaxing and we also enjoyed some time on the private balcony with a beautiful view. The room was so spacious and the bits of exposed brick really brought us the feeling of staying in a historical home. There were so many thoughtful touches, likes the wine glasses/bottle opener and chocolates on our pillow case. We stayed for four nights, and breakfast each morning was delicious. We had dishes like blueberry stuffed french toast and quiche. Sandra also baked extra muffins each morning for us to take on the road. Appreciated the sign up sheet for breakfast times and the option to enjoy our meal on the porch. The location or the Red Coat is perfectly situated between the Niagara Falls and Niagara-on-the-Lake, both being a very short drive. We loved having our accommodations set back a little ways from the tourist crowds. It made our time enjoying a meal/drink on the patio so peaceful! Highly recommend choosing the Red Coat for your Niagara trip!…
Very convenient location (15 minutes from dozens of Niagara on the Lake vineyards and wineries, and just 30 minutes to Niagara Falls.) Sandra and Keith were great hosts; easy conversation and graciously accommodating of our multiple dietary needs. The room (Brock Suite) was spacious, clean, and comfortable! This is definitely on our return visit list!
The Red Coat B&B was my first stay at a B&B. I would highly recommend staying here!! I've visited Niagara On The Lake many times before but have always stayed in motels. In the past several years though the motel quality has drastically decreased. No upkeep, less perks and the cost is still rising. I took a chance and booked The Red Coat B&B for my girlfriend's birthday getaway. Sandra and Keith were amazing hosts!!! The conversations were very pleasurable, the accommodations very, very nice and the breakfast was fantastic!! The location was perfect being in-between Niagara On The Lake and Niagara Falls. We will definitely be visiting Sandra and Keith and at their Red Coat B&B!!! Oh, btw, we stayed in the loft which has a wonderful view of the Brock Monument and the Niagara River from the balcony. Thank you Sandra and Keith for making our stay so special!!!…
I stayed at The Red Coat in January 2017 and again in January 2022 at the end of walking treks on the Bruce Trail. The room was very comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. Keith and Sandra were very hospitable and helpful . The Red Coat is ideally situated for walking on The Bruce Trail and the village has many historical sites of interest.
