Detailed Reviews
Our week at Cadigans was very enjoyable. Our motorhome was placed very close to the water and we had a very large area to ourselves. The owner was more than helpful in getting us settled. Seasonal campers were very friendly. The park is small and quiet but at our age, that is what we wanted. We would go back there again.

I would say it was generally ok but the cleanliness was horrendous. They really need to update and give the cabins a good face lift. The beds were like planks of wood with an itchy fleece blanket with a waterproof cover and one pillow. The door handle to the cabin kept falling off and the AC taped to the cabin window wasn't turned on for fear of a huge dust explosion. Sorry for the review but it's the truth!

Stayed here for a couple of nights... Cottages are located right next to Kawartha Lake... The property is beautiful and well maintained... The cottage was not very clean inside... The sofas were very dirty and made our clothes dirty... The barbeque provided was not at all clean... There were lost of mosquitos inside... There was only a single toilet for the cottage with 3 bedrooms... This cottage definitely needs maintenance and renovation...

Our family stayed at the Cadigan cottage for a week. As soon as we got in to their biggest house it had spiders and other insects crawling everywhere on the walls and ceiling. Spider web was everywhere. My kids didn’t sleep not even one night without being scared of all the insects. Kitchen had lots of ants. You can’t leave anything on the table, even clean plates, ants were sitting on top of our food and dishes. But the worst what happened my 1 year old daughter and I got bitten while sleeping by black spider or whatever, I won’t be surprised it was even bed bugs, picture attached, because the cottage was so old and dirty.I have these bites all over my body and my arm and it’s been a week and it’s still very itchy. Would never recommend this place to anyone!

Really nice location with less traffic than the 400 coming out of Toronto. The Cabins are a bit older but didn’t spend much time in them - really nice grassy area and swimming! Price was good and you can camp if you want to stay for a very cheap price. Good trails close by as well!

26 of us got together for a week. The facilities and beach were great. Loved the dog beach as did the dog. people were friendly and the other campers were great. We took note of the cottages and they were what we expected. What we did not expect was the Mold in the showers of two of the 4 cottages and another cottage that had a sewer smell. So all 26 showered in one cabin. notified the owner and were told that we were complainers. With picture and some phone time we are not the only ones who think it was Gross. Would stay in the area again but not here

We had a large group and had 4 cottages. I was really ok and just redone. The one I was in had no hot water for 3 days (fused was unscrewed by owner) the fridge was off and we were told it took 2 days to cool down. The shower was covered in mold and we all showered in the other cottages all week. None of the cottages slept the # of people promised.
However there were lots of space outside in nice treed lots. Beach was small but sandy and there were play structures for kids. So cottage was awful and subpar but campground was ok. You can def rent better for less.

The location is wonderful, right by the lake and has enough things for kids and adults. Boats and kayaks are available to rent. Lot of space for kids to play. Nice and shallow private beach for kids to swim and enjoy. Great host who is ready to help. The only problem is that the cottages are really old and not maintained to the best standards. There are broken things in the cottages and the furniture and bathrooms are not in the best condition
