Golden Pathways Retreat and B&B is located 9 Km south of Peterborough on 195 acres in a beautiful countryside setting. Each bedroom has a theme and was uniquely decorated by local artisans and family members. Guests enjoy a fully equipped kitchen, a large screen tv, a private patio, 40 foot cascading water garden and fantastic sunrise and sunset views. The common area can be configured for multiple uses. In 2-3, Cora and her husband had to sell our century farm for the buffer zone for the landfill site. Cora decided to make that a positive experience by building a dream retreat on dream property. She is still in awe when people tell her how they are experiencing the exact things that were considered when she designed the retreat and B&B. They tell her that they relax as soon as they walk in. Then peace, creativity, problem solving, rejuvenation or healing can happen. Whether you are an individual, couple, traveler, team or group you will experience nourishment for your body and soul. Cora also loves to connect people with local resources, activities and highlights.

.... Otherwise we wouldn't have discovered this gem! Was in town from Ottawa for a wedding. Three months out from the date, the bride informs us that due to tournaments in town, most the hotels were booking up. To my dismay, she was right - so we started to look for alternative options. Looking to try our first B&B and take more rural accommodations to get in whatever relaxation we could, the Golden Pathways was booked. Just a short drive from the Canoe Museum the wedding was at, Cora and her B&B did not dial to impress! The large Ferndale room was lovely and washroom adjacent was beautiful with a soaker tub (wish I had time to try it!). The commons space, extra large kitchen, patio and grounds were the perfect balance of nature and comfort. Breakfast the next morning on the deck exceeded all expectations and featured (fantastic) coffee, market fresh fruits, and items from Cora's own garden. Speaking to friends after the wedding who stayed at a few different hotels in town, they all regretted not considering such an option as they were underwhelmed by thier hotel experiences. We will definately be back, but in vacation mode so we can take to time to explore more of what the region has to offer. Thanks Cora!

The countryside setting is peaceful and welcoming as are the hosts. Comfortable, clean accommodations and a wonderful breakfast. Neat to see the cows in the surrounding fields. 15 minutes from the hustle and bustle of downtown Peterborough.

Great place for anyone looking to leave the hustle and bustle of city life for a calm, relaxing getaway. Golden Pathways sits on a vast open piece of land, with lots of trees, a beautiful zen garden with calming sounds of trickling water. Cora, the owner, is a lovely host that took the time to sit with us and engage in interesting conversation. The breakfast...wow...delicious!! Served on the second floor outdoor patio, you are surrounded by serenity and beautiful views. Among other things, homemade rhubarb purée, tossed greens with hints of mint and basil, deliciously prepared eggs and a fantastic fresh fruit salad. Much care was also given to the presentation. We stayed in a small but more than adequate room with twin beds, a closet, free wi-fi and a door leading the ground floor outdoor patio which has ample seating to simply sit and enjoy the view and fresh air. Thank you Cora for a wonderful stay. We hope to come back again and we wish you much continued success! Christine

My wife and I booked two nights at Golden Pathways early in August. Everything exceeded our expectations. Gracious hosts, clean and bright rooms, excellent and a tasty, beautifully prepared breakfast on the outside patio on the first morning. On our second night, the area suffered a power outage after a thunderstorm. Cora, our ever so resourceful hostess, provided battery powered "candles" to illuminate all common areas and a few extras for our room. When the power hadn't returned by morning, Cora and Dave still managed to prepare a nutritious, tasty and healthy breakfast using cold ingredients. Our verdict? When you feel comfortable and safe even during a power outage, you know you are in a good place. Four thumbs up!

After a wonderful evening at 4th Line Theatre we joined friends at this wonderful spot for an overnight. Friendly hosts Cora and David were welcoming but not intrusive. We had one of three rooms, Serenity, which was beautifully decorated. There are three rooms all together with 2 bathrooms. On the same floor is a full kitchen with stove, fridge. microwave, coffee pots for large and small groups, and table and chairs and fully functional with linens, dishes etc. Ott the kitchen is a large gathering or meeting room which also opens to the outdoors. Going outdoors is a wonderful surprise as a cascading water garden ends in a small pond complete with goldfish. Hanging baskets of flowers and comfortable table and chairs compliment your outdoor enjoyment. My husband and I had a very comfortable king size bed. In the closet robes were available for wear. Breakfast the next morning was on the upstairs balcony. Once again well appointed and delicious. Good variety and well done.
