Detailed Reviews
My son and I enjoyed a two Queen bed room on the 3rd floor a weekend in February 2020. The beds are comfortable, as are the pillows, and the rooms are fairly quiet - i.e. you do not hear voices or the TV in adjacent rooms to the sides or above/below. However, if you are on any floor except the 4th floor (top floor), then you will hear young children running around on the floor (though you do not hear normal walking). The hot tub is nice, as is the pool. And the included breakfast is about what you'd expect for this level of hotel - scrambled eggs, sausage, toast, yogurt, waffles, etc - nothing terrific, though will fill the hole, and it's include in your room rate. The locations is along a main strip in Peterborough where there are many restaurants within 5 minute walk. We would stay at this hotel again.

We really enjoyed our 2-night stay at this location. Our room (2 queen beds) was clean and comfortable, and we never felt cramped in the space. The shower had great water pressure and consistent temperature. The pool was nice (although it was the last weekend of Christmas break, so it was busy). Breakfast was tasty (waffles, eggs, bagels, cereal, oatmeal, etc), although it could've used a bit more refreshing (again, though, it was the last weekend of break, so things could've been a bit more hectic than usual). We would definitely stay here again, and will likely try other Super 8 locations because of this experience. Thanks!

Afraid to reserve hospitality in a red or grey zone coming from a green zone, we opted to reserve in a lower risk. The Super 8 Peterborough was on our route and was pet-friendly.
This facility was clean, pet-friendly with very polite and eager to assist staff. The check-in was quick, barriers and masks in place, hand sanitizers everywhere.
The staff managed to maintain a positive exchange in this concerning pandemic period.
The room was fair size with all the necessary amenities.
I recommend and shall return.

I stayed at this property for two nights starting July 31.
PROS:
The hotel is conveniently located and there are several restaurants as well as box stores close by.
The hotel has a good Covid protocol in place and hand sanitizers are readily available.
Complimentary continental breakfast provides a good variety of choices. Each table is equipped with a bottle of hand sanitizer.
The room was nicely appointed and clean.
CONS:
The floors are very thin and I could hear footsteps from the room above late into the night as well as in the middle of the night. Sleep comfort was 3/10 as a result.
The check-out clerk on duty at around 7 am on August 1 was unpleasant and almost obnoxious. No greetings, no smile, no “how was your stay?” And no “thank you for staying with us.” People like him should not be in customer service.

Not sure why but all Wyndham managed hotel I stayed recently has the same room make up policy where they only provide towels and change garbage bag upon request even if you're staying for 4 day 3 nights. This is really ridiculous compare other Wyndham managed properties in other countries. The late check out charge for a half nightly rate but check out must be done before 1pm is also funny to me. The room is fine

Visited Peterborough on Canada Day weekend. Chose Super 8 due to the reviews. Overall, we loved the place and would probably return. The hotel is clean and the front desk service is top-grade, actually perfect. The rooms are clean and a nice size with plenty of light. Upon arriving we found we needed additional towels. We went to the front desk. Unlike so many places, the person at the front desk went into the back and brought out three additional towels. Our only complaint is that the room was too cold, even with the A/C turned off. We did complain to the front desk and the person actually came to check it out, adjusting the heating/A/C. It helped a bit but the bathroom floor was freezing. We passed on the complimentary breakfast buffet when checking out as it was almost over and there was no place to sit. Plus the pickings seemed a bit slim. Still, a nice option for guests. The pool looked nice. Wish we had brought our bathing suits. Overall though, the price was right and we enjoyed our stay.

First of all, no matter how hard I try, there's always a hockey tournament at the hotel I choose and this proved to be no exception.
What made it worse though is the bouncy paper thin floors. When I found out there was a hockey tournament in town, I opted for the top 4th floor. But I could still hear these little athletes running up and down the halls all night.
The hotel colour scheme is a bit dated, the hot tub was closed. But in fairness, the hot tub news was clearly communicated to when considering to book. So props for that.
Free hotel breakfasts skim the line between barely eatable and passable. This one was on the barely eatable side, but you'll rarely get a truly satisfying breakfast with most hotels. The coffee though was hot and flavourful.
Even when one of these delightful hockey rink rats pulled a fire alarm late at night, hotel staff was quick to address the issue with local fire team, and was resolved.
Welcome to budget hotel stays in the winter in Canada. Super 8 is consistently one of the best values of the few hotels to choose from in Peterborough. The location on Lansdowne is very good. Just don't expect a luxury experience.

In this COVID situation, coming from a green zone, I was concerned to a hotel stay in staying in higher risk zone. I decided to take the lesser risk and stay in a Yellow, do my business quickly in and out of Red and come back home to green.
I reserved at this facility as they are pet friendly and just off our travel plans to Hamilton via route 7 and 407. After reserving, I called to ensure our pet would be welcomed and all was confirmed. The staff was real polite and friendly.
Upon arrival, the facility was expecting us and we got settled right away. The front desk attendant was real helpful with instructions, assisted with our next day trip as well as provided us with a charger which we had forgotten.
Everyone was masked, barriers where needed, room clean, breakfast considering restrictions was convenient.
I shall return.

Great staff at check in and check out, enjoyed the clean updated rooms. Location to main attractions is good, not tons of walking space on property for a dog but was good enough. A bit noisy but hotel was fully booked with hockey tournament in town.

This place is not good. We changed rooms after the first room had obviously not been cleaned properly. There was debris all over the carpet. We didn't look closely beyond that, but based on the condition of the 2nd room, I'd say housekeeping isn't their strong suit. The second room had the sw frayed rug, there were stains on the bathroom floor, crumbs on the kitchen counter, a spill in the mini fridge, dead flies around both windows. At this point we figured we likely would find a cleaner room , and since we don't spend that much time in our room, we'd just stay.
The room itself was large ("deluxe" suite) but it had an institutional feel. Metal doors separating the bedroom from the living area. A single bulb in the bathroom. The aforementioned frayed carpet etc...overall just very tired. Better options for similar pricing in the area. Not recommended.
