I tried several times leaving vm with Anchor and Wheel to NO avail. Finally 5 days before we were to arrive there, Mark the owner answered the phone and said 'what do you want?' I explained number of calls, he really did not care and just replied See You. We got there on Aug 20 to a campground which was... More

$50 night for 1 tent in a 'field' next to the road. WIth a 'bonus' picnic table that needed some serious love. Zero amenities (for example there wasn't even a garbage pail in the bath house or anywhere on site, nor recycling.) The owner, Mark was very rude on the phone and had no time to answer questions about his... More

I have to say this was a disappointing place. One review here said it right if you like hunt camps this place is for you. They charge high prices in a bad atmosphere. We got the shrimp baskets, I have had more at a chip truck for less money. You had to pay for the water here as well, which... More

we went to the restaurant from our B and B - a group of six. understaffed but understand its a limited population on the island. Food was ok but nothing special. Fried local fish was nice. The decor is eclectic. I could see it being really fun at times but was just ok. One of the few dining options on... More

Mark is an amazing cook! I've been coming to the island for 2 years and had never stopped in. Now that I finally have, I'm kicking myself! The ahi tuna and crab dinners are to die for. (Psst try yhe frozen margarita) friendly service, charming decor, and air conditioning!!

We strolled into the Anchor and Wheel for dinner this past Saturday night. We were welcomed warmly to this nautically decorated restaurant. It only took a few minutes to realize this eatery was a regular for the locals, as they meander in. The food was outstanding. Freshly caught fish and mounts of harvested vegetables all prepared the way it should... More

Charming, eclectic, and friendly place to dine. Try the blackened pickerel. The roast beef special was great. The owners take pride in the service they provide and it shows. We will be to dine and stay.

When we arrived, we spent 30 minutes trying to find the owner/manager to get our keys even though he was aware of the customers coming over on the ferry and when we would all be arriving. The room was filthy and had a lot of mould. We spent two nights and on the day we were leaving, I saw a... More

The bottom room the my girlfriend and I got was...ok. the upper rooms smell of mold. There were tiny flies that littered the carpeted deck. Doors would not open and blinds fell when pulling the string to open them. Please stay someplace else.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights. Two couples with the dog. The price is very reasonable, extra 20 dollars for the dog. Very nice and clean rooms, the owner also owns a restaurant which serves delicious meals! I'd recommend this place and stay the again
