We stayed here when our house needed to be showed for selling. Price was pretty good for a hotel right downtown. Covid rules in place (no pool or breakfast :(...but lots of space). We upgraded to the separate bedroom suite. The renovations look like out of a magazine. Very clean and stylish. Two TVs. Separate bedroom made it great for two people to work at the same time, or one to sleep while the other watches TV. Kitchen was fully stocked with new appliances, cookware, dishes, corkscrew, and soap. This saved us so much money from not having to order in all the time. Farm Boy is just three blocks away for groceries. Parking underground was easy to find. The windows actually open! Seriously good value, and very, very nice digs!

I've been coming here on business since November 2020. I don't think I can say enough about the This wonderful hotel and especially the staff. We are in COVID times but the Carleton has continued to operate with flair, courtesy and passion. My first time here I had a regular suite, a bit dated when it came to the colour scheme but it was clean, cozy, great bed and linens, couch was comfy not lumpy. I've been in the newer suites since - yes everything is newer and shinier but either option is grand. Full kitchen and an amazing grocery store two blocks away As for the staff, Guest Services or Housekeeping, you couldn't ask for better people. My thanks and gratitude to Doug Crosble, Agnes, Denise and Kim. It's like coming home every time.

Stayed for a weekend in March 2020. Requested a renovated room, as the hotel was under construction. Booked the king one bedroom. The room was so clean and smelled brand new. The decor is modern contemporary. We will definately stay here again. Excellent location, staff was awesome and decommended Brown's restaurant down the street. Excellent choice. The kitchenette had never been used all new appliances. They really over did themselves with the reno's!!

I stayed here two nights in February. The outside temperature was unusually warm, about 5C, and the heating is hot water. With the thermostat set at 16, fan at high, the two little windows open, I was still too warm for sleeping. Not good when good sleep is the most important thing that you want in a hotel. The gym has one spinner, two treadmills, two elipitcals, one weight machine and some weights. The machines are so old that they still have iPhone 4 connections...the pool is nice with good natural lighting, nice little hot tub too. The morning buffet was good. The location of the hotel is good, the staff are friendly and efficient. Parking was easy. All in all, a pretty good stay.

Thank you very much ScubaZone for your detailed feedback from your recent stay. We appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts. Unfortunately sudden changes in temperature does affect our building at times, but we do hope that anyone suffering from temperature issues will reach out to see what we can do. We have learned a few tricks and tips over the years on how to resolve these types of concerns. The fitness centre will go through an update during the renovation process (likely later this year), and we do hope that we will get more equipment for our guests and an improved facility. We are excited to see the final results! If there was anything further that you needed assistance with, please feel more than welcomed to reach out. We hope that you might join us again in the future to see the final results! Regards, Douglas Crosbie Guest Services Manager gsm@carletonsuitehotel.com

Great location and very well priced based on the local competition. Walking distance to loads of restaurants and attractions. Guests are offered great environmental incentives for not getting housekeeping every day, and suites are fully equipped so you can zip to the local grocery store and make your own meals instead of depending on restaurants. Not fancy, not luxurious, but it is clean and comfortable, and the suites are large and well appointed. Staff is very friendly and the complementary hot and cold buffet breakfast is great. Pet and kid friendly.

Thank you very much for your review, Catherine Sands! We appreciate all the time you have taken to share your thoughts with us, and the TripAdvisor community. Just some follow-up on some of the comments for any future travelers: We are nearby to a newly opening Farm Boy grocery store, and are thrilled to provide the facilities to enjoy a home cooked meal in your suite. An insider tip: We also do your grocery shopping for you. There are forms in your suite for you to fill out. We go get everything you need and simply charge you the cost of the items purchased, no extra fees! We love to have you and your family along, kids and pets alike! Please note that there is an extra fee of $85.00/stay for any pet stays to assist in the cleaning process after you depart. Thank you again for your feedback, and please let me know if there is anything further that we can do for you!
