Good location but over priced. Made reservation via phone in advance thinking it was Embassy Suites by Hilton but this hotel is not part of the Hilton chain. Their name seems to be intended to mis-lead you to think it is a Hilton property but it OBVIOULY is NOT.

The rooms are quite large. The bed and pillows were comfy. The front desk staff were very polite and accomodating. I was in run and wouldn't make it back before checkout. I didn't get a late check out as I requested however I was able to use the gym shower which with very much appreciated.

This is a very ableist hotel. They mistreated me as a guest when I disclosed my disability. Wouldn't recommend to others. The manager was very condescdending and rude, I'd had a booking for a few extra days at the end of my stay through hotels.com and it "disappeared" from their system. The night staff told me at 3 in the morning. It was very distressing and I think they just wanted me to leave

Stayed for 3 nights and was very pleased with the hotel, I'm very fussy about a place being clean and bug free This hotel was spotless 😊 The staff were very friendly and the restaurants food was very very good We were in walking distance to all the things we wanted to do and see The rooms were big as well, very quiet hotel One thing we had to turn off the AC because it was too loud, but it was ok because it wasn't very hot those days Would definitely stay there again if in Ottawa

A great stay at the Embassy Hotel and Suites in Ottawa. We were there for my daughter's soccer tournament so a number of her teammates and families stayed at the hotel. The staff at check in were friendly and efficient. The room layouts are great for groups; apart from the bedroom, there is a living room as well as a kitchen. Had a wonderful sleep both nights, the beds are super comfortable. Unfortunately, we only had the opportunity to eat at Cooper's once as we had a busy schedule. We grabbed breakfast on Saturday morning before heading the field. The eggs benedict was delicious as was the coffee! The friendly and attentive service was much appreciated. Location is amazing as it's close to shopping, restaurants etc. We love wandering around the city so it was so nice to be able to walk directly from the hotel. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone heading to Ottawa!

Very good value for the cost per night. The hotel was clean and the staff were very pleasant. We were upgraded to a king suite(which includes a kitchenette) at no additional cost which was a pleasant surprise. The room was nice and very spacious. The bathroom although nicely done was a bit small. People of a larger stature may find it too small. There was one issue with no hot water at 1100pm. The front desk said they had a problem with it. It didn’t bother us too much though. The hotel is ideal for walking downtown Ottawa, everything is right there. I requested to park past our checkout and they had no problem with that. I would stay again.

I'm very disappointed that prior to booking Noone told me the parking was first come first serve. It's very difficult when parking is unavailable and you have small kids and stuff to carry... also parking elsewhere can be very expensive especially when you have to pay each time you take your car out.

Overall, our experience was wonderful. The room was massive (very impressive!), the bathroom was fantastic, and the beds were comfortable. The building itself was in good standing, and was nice and clean. Like I said, overall, it was wonderful. The only reason I gave this a 3 star review is due to the absolutely atrocious experience we had when checking in. I booked the room around 1 month before we were to arrive. It was for a wedding, and the wedding party had booked rooms to be put aside for their guests. I used my credit card to hold the room, but when we arrived, I realized I forgot the card. Being a 6 hour drive away from Ottawa, we were unable to simply go back and get it. I was able to provide my ID, the booking confirmation email, and I could have even provided the card number, date and CVC if asked. However, one receptionist decided that it was the hotel's "policy" that they could not give us the room unless we presented the card. While I understand policy is policy, I have since looked it up and there is no such policy that states this. Furthermore, when we returned to the front desk afterwards and spoke with a difference receptionist, they noted that it said we were already checked in. Apparently, the other receptionist put in the system that we were "Checked In" without us receiving any key cards to our room. As I understand it, that would have charged my credit card on file for a room we were not going to be allowed to stay in. The new receptionist, however, said they could just change the credit card on file because we had all the evidence that we were the ones booked in. That second person was so wonderful and helpful and stated they did not know why their co-worker said what they did as it was not a policy they were aware of (especially since the rooms were reserved for ONLY wedding guests). I would be grateful and encourage anyone from the hotel to contact me for more information in regards to the specific person that would not help us. I will not personally attack them here as that is in bad faith. I want to finish this up on a positive note and want to reiterate that otherwise, our experience was really quite wonderful. Thank you, Embassy!

My friends and I (5 girls around the age of 17-19 years old) arrived at the hotel on june 22nd and right off we had a bad feeling. We were all there for the Escapade music festival, like the majority of the people who stayed at the hotel that weekend. On the 23rd, we left around 11am to go buy some groceries and when we came back, someone had taken our parking spot and while we searched for one (there is around 20 parking spots available, we paid 100$ for the weekend and there was no place for us), some people threw cans at our head. We did not make a big deal out of this, because we all thought that it was not necessary to make a scene and sometimes people can do stupid things when they are under the influence of alcohol. We go back to our room, get prepared and we see 4 people on the balcony right under us (who are also from quebec) so we tell them to come and see us in our room. We drink a little bit, but we do not make that much noise and did not disturb anyone. At around 1h30 pm someone knocked at our door and told us that we had 20mins to leave the hotel and that they had called the police. We start panicking because first off we are 5 girls from quebec who payed a lot of money to stay there, we do not have anywhere else to go and we all don’t understand what is going on. I went to the lobby and tried to have some explanations, the only thing that they tell us is that they saw us throwing liquid down from our balcony. We told them that this is not a valid reason to kick out people from a hotel, so the narrative from the staff changed to « they were throwing cans of alcohol » down from the balcony. At this point I try to calm myself down, but we ALL knew that this was not us, because earlier we received the cans on us!!! The « manager » (Jonathan Hugdson) repeats to me that the police is coming and we have to leave. This did not make any sense, so I went and called the police myself, but they did not receive any calls from the address earlier that day. So I go back inside and ask the receptionist and Mr.Hugdson if someone understands or speaks french here, but this gentleman starts laughing at my face and hides himself from us. This nonsense goes on for about 20mins, but at one point there is nothing else we can do. I asked them if they had proof, if there is something we can do, but nothing. Absolutely no cooperation from anyone, this is clearly the worst service that we’ve ever had. We go back to our room, pack our stuff and start to leave. Three out of the five girls are in the elevator with him and he clearly told them that he spoke and understood french, laughed at our face and told us that we could have done something but it was too late. I could go on and on but this is the worst experience we’ve all ever had and I sincerely recommend you to never go there.

Friendly, helpful staff. Clean room. Great bed. Within walking distance, close to everything near downtown. Our stay was for the 2023 Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend. The Hotel is a 6 minute walk from the starting line for all races. My friends and I were really happy with this. We have already booked our rooms for next years 2024 race!
