My wife and I made a last second decision to go to NOTL. We found this place on line and it is exactly as described. When you arrive you are greeted with plush gardens and awesome landscaping nestled in a little forest. Inside is just as nice with a shared kitchen with the other unit. The rooms have a loft sleeping are the over looks a sitting area that leads out to a private deck among flowerbeds. The host Jane is super nice. Since about trip was last minute we did not plan an itinerary so on Saturday am she helped us plan our weekend with incredible suggestions on where to visit and eat. Her breakfast would rival any five star restaurant and are made with local ingredients that make the flavours so wonderful. I suggest if you are heading to NOTL please see if you can stay her as you will not regret it. B&L…
This B&B is set up with the bedroom overlooking a private sitting area on the lower level, along with a private bathroom on the lower/main level. A walkout into the garden backed by trees and you're in nature's paradise. The hostess is delightful and warm hearted and she makes a great breakfast. As cyclists, it was located very centrally on our route and we found restaurants and wineries within easy biking distance. This was one of the prettiest B&B gardens we've seen, making it a relaxing stay along our way. We'd recommend this B&B to others.
We had a lovely 2 night stay at Applewood Hollow. The rooms were cozy, clean, and spacious with a deck and access to a beautiful yard. Jane really outdid herself on the breakfasts which were plentiful and delicious, and included fresh-baked goods. We enjoyed getting to know Jane. The countryside is beautiful. We will definitely go back.
My parents and I stayed at Jane's lovely bed & breakfast during a weekend trip to Niagara-on-the-Lake. We couldn't recommend her place more highly. The two-story room was spacious and well decorated, with a lovely outdoor patio and plenty of privacy. It was perfect for three people, with two in the loft upstairs and one on the comfortable sofabed on the ground floor. Jane's gardens are beautiful, and her home is well situated to reach downtown in a matter of minutes. She had great advice for exploring the local area, and the food and company were both excellent as well - delicious breakfast with good conversation. We would definitely stay here again!
I just had the occasion to stay at Applewood Hollow and cannot recommend it highly enough. Upon arrival we were greeted by a huge garden to walk through with herbs sunflowers and hydrangeas and more. THe chickens were clucking in their pen laying eggs for our fabulous brekfasts daily...frittata, scrambled etc. breakfast at nine was sumptuous and the perfect start to a day of biking or walking or soaking up the culture of Niagara on the lake. Jane, our hostess always had suggestions of where to go or what to see and do and she was spot on! Our room was not just a bedroom but our own private sitting area and bathroom as well as private patio . There were little private patios everywhere to relax in the shade and read or rest.. I hope to go stay there again soon
