We visited Niagara-on-the-Lake at the end of August for 5 nights. Our stay at the Twining House was about as close to perfect as one can get. We stayed in the suite on the first floor. We felt like we had our own small home in the middle of town. The living room was beautifully decorated, the bedroom with king... More

We spent three nights with Annette and Michael and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. They are the most entertaining and hospitable people....and Louis and Gizmo, their dogs, are sweethearts. Wonderfully spacious room - we were on the main floor - along with relaxing places to sit in the gardens out back to read and/or have a glass of wine. Breakfasts were excellent......three... More

My wife and I stayed here for a night. Lovely little house and very warm hosts. Cosy room and extremely clean. A small bookshelf where you can find some interesting books. The breakfast was one of the best we have had in B&Bs, ask for the muffin with fresh fruits! The two little dogs provide much entertainment!

Great location to main street. We were there during the Shaw garden tour...fabulous gardens...wow. Very nice gardens at the Twining House as well. Very nicely furnished with Victorian antiques....No shoe policy a little much. Very nice stay.

From the moment you arrive at this beautiful, historic home dating back to 1818, wonderfully preserved by the hosts Annette and Michael Twining, we were made to feel right at home. Annette and Michael were delightful hosts taking the time to assist us find our way around the areas attractions and share in conversations following breakfast. We enjoyed the spacious... More

My wife and I recently spent two nights at the Twinning House while taking in some plays at the Shaw Festival. It was our second time there after a seven-year gap. We enjoyed being there as much this time as we did seven years ago. Anne is an amazing cook and Mike should consider a career in stand-up comedy. They... More

In June of this year (2014), I visited Niagara-on-the-Lake with a friend from New Zealand who was at the end of a round-the-world trip. She was tired of hotels, tired of the ordinary, everyday motels, and was looking for somewhere she could totally relax. We spent three nights at this delightful B&B and both left wishing we'd been able to... More

As I write this, I'm lying in a beautiful four-poster, listening to birdsong and the splash of water from the fountain. The smells of another delicious breakfast are encouraging me to get out of this comfy bed. Annette and Michael are the ultimate hosts; very knowledgable about the area, warm and charming, and she's a great cook! Our room (King... More

My husband and I reviewed many B&B's in Niagra On The Lake and finally settled on this one. We were joining children for the Thanksgiving weekend; I have a physical disability and so would not be biking or walking but the fireplace sounded perfect for reading. We arrived five minutes after check-in time but were told by a surly-faced woman... More

My husband and I traveled to Niagra-on-the-Lake for the winter Ice Wine Festival. The Twinings inn was lovely. We had a beautiful suite with a fireplace. Staying at the inn was so much like staying with friends. Annette was in Florida, and Michael was a wonderful solo host in her absence. Gourmet breakfasts were only outshone by the interesting conversations... More
