it's probably considered one of the highest value hotels in the area, I'd consider others in the future. The outer pool was lukewarm even though advertised as winter-heated friendly. The suite-type rooms are large but sparse (literally 1/3 of the room had no furniture, and it's odd for premium type rooms to literally be ground-level with the parking lot, a super close distance. The dinner on a weekend had good food quality but service was a little cold. The hot spring is pleasant but you must book it, and get short 30 min increments. The inner pool is nice but often chaotic with families.

We celebrated our 3rd anniversary at Pillar and Post and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous and the ambiance was amazing! Not only were we and our anniversary acknowledged at check in but we received a beautiful card and surprise when we entered our room. Thank you Pillar and Post for making our 3rd anniversary one to remember.

Customer service was absolutely fantastic. Lots to do despite Covid Restrictions. We were able to partake in a deep tissue massage, both Inna and Alan (massage therapist) are highly recommended. The outdoor hot springs was a perfect way to end our spa services for the day. The 3 course meal that was part of the Winter Wonderland package that came room service due to Covid restrictions was absolutely 5 star. We also were able to skate, sit at an outside fire table and go for a walk in the outside garden area. My experience with front desk staff prior to and during my over night stay was excellent and personable customer service. So refreshing and needed in these Covid-19 times. Thank you to Peter, Matt, Mandy and Will for making our staycation special and enjoyable.

I booked this hotel for my husband's birthday for just one night and unfortunately because of all the COVID rules, it was not the most pleasant stay. I did not like the fact they only allow you 15 minutes in the hot springs and we wanted at least another 15 minutes the day we were checking out, but the hot springs pool was closed so we were very disappointed. The outdoor pool was closed as well which was disappointing. The hotel was not busy because of the rules. We had the Winter package with the dinner which we had to have in our room because of the rules, and I have to say, the dinner was delicious. The king bed mattress unfortunately was sagging in the middle and should changed (we were in room 208). The hotel needs a bit of updating I can see. They had a skating rink across the street which we went to which was great, but because of silly rules, they insist you wear a mask outdoors which is not a requirement in Ontario to wear masks outdoors. It was the hotel's policy. That should be changed. It's very difficult to skate with a mask on. But it was nice to get away even if for one night, I just wish more of the facilities were open.

Spent three days in this beautiful hotel at Christmas. Enjoyed the outdoor and indoor pools and hot springs. Our room was magnificent overlooking the outdoor pool. Christmas Day dinner was superb. Christmas decorations were amazing and even had decorations around the pool. Unfortunately, we left two swimsuits in our room. They were not found. They could not just disappear. I asked if hotel had procedures to deal with items left in hotel but no reply. Even told hotel where the swimsuits were. Disappointed. All hotels have procedures for items left behind. Surely a Five Star hotel as nice as Pillar & Post could set up lost and found. Would definitely recommend Christmas celebrations in this hotel. A gentleman in the bar was very pleasant and gave really good service. Checkin was efficient and Covid safety outlined.
