We have not been in NOTL for many years but wanted to return for a special weekend after our week in New York City to extend our 25th year Anniversary celebrations closer to home (Toronto). We stumbled upon this new B&B and sooo glad we did! WOW!!! We did not expect to find such a cool , hip place like... More

It was our first B&B and it was amazing. Our host Amanda was extremely pleasant and very down to earth. They have done a beautiful job renovating this beautiful house. Breakfast was better than anything we would have gotten from any restaurant in the area. Can't wait to go back in the fall. Thank you!

My husband and I have been spending a night in Niagara on the Lake every summer for 8 years now. The Queen Regent is by far the best place we have stayed in this beautiful, historic town. Just a few steps to the heart of Queen St. with all it's fabulous shops and restaurants, yet tucked away on a quiet... More

Comfy, tastefully restful, convenient, amazing food, great down to earth people ❤️ . My 15yo daughter and I loved the experience! The lake, Shaw Festival, restaurants and shopping a block or less away. Walked everywhere and thoroughly enjoyed the sites of the quaint little town. Will return definitely.

My wife and I ended up at the Queen Regent do to an internet misadventure. Brandon and Amanda took us in at the last moment. This was our first Bed and Breakfast experience, usually opting for luxury hotel accommodations . The room was very welcoming, nicely decorated, offering everything to make you feel at home. The bed was very conducive... More

Everything exceeded our expectations: from the well-appointed and stylish room (#2) to the large, delicious breakfast to the excellent restaurant recommendations (and call to make a reservation on our behalf) to the friendly & welcoming demeanour of our hosts. Looking forward to a return visit.

This was our second time visiting Niagara-on-the-lake. Our experience is that most people visiting the area tend to gravitate towards the antique beauty of the heritage home B&Bs in their (almost) original state. Although my partner and I were drawn to the Queen Regent’s historic exterior, we chose to stay because we adored the contemporary charm of this gem’s interior!... More

This is a great location but that is about the only thing to recommend it. There is no breakfast but a voucher for a restaurant is offered(nothing fancy). If you want a coffee before heading out for breakfast there is 2cups and instant coffee in the room, 12 in. TV, but since everything seems to plug into the same receptacle... More

Clean, but old. No gourmet breakfast as promised on the Website (we were given a voucher for a normal breakfast at a restaurant within walking distance) Owner's son extremely rude (no customer service skills) Room very dates, tiny & hot unless you wanted the A/C blowing right on you. Instant coffee packets was all that was offered for coffee. No... More

My wife and I recently stayed at this superb B&B in the heart of Niagara On the Lake. First off we are both experienced travelers and have been to many B&B's and hotels throughout our lifetime. However I can honestly say that none of them can even come close to the level of cleanliness that Heritage 1840 has to offer.... More
