I loved this hotel, it was quiet and service was great both at front desk and the restaurant downstairs. Being the first time away since Covid I was a little nervous about going and staying somewhere- but the the hotel is very clean and follows Covid protocols, as well all guests did. We are looking to book again in Dec for a couple days to get away. Niagara best kept secret !

We’re locals and decided to do a stay-cation somewhere in the Falls for our covid anniversary. Sterling is a “boutique” hotel, not a big chain, so it’s got a lot more character and charm. I’d recommend it for adult couples. There is no pool, and the hallways and rooms are quiet which we appreciated. First, the shower. When you book direct, you get the option of a jacuzzi tub or steam shower. Get the shower. It’s a glass enclosed walk-in, with a rainfall shower head and three body jets. You can turn the steamer on and turn the shower into your own personal sauna. Way better (and probably more hygienic) than a jacuzzi or pool. The room itself was very pretty, with exposed wood beams, a balcony, mini fridge, and fireplace. Had a bit of trouble because the bathroom door handle fell off, but we reported it and maintenance went and fixed it while we went out. You will also get continental breakfast delivered to the room each morning at your preferred time. We received yogurt, granola, an apple and orange, fresh croissant, orange juice, and a tortilla wrapped omelette (think McDonald’s). The only downfall was that this was the same both mornings we were there. It would be nice if there was some variety, especially over the weekends. I’m not sure if we were operating the French press incorrectly, but the coffee was horrid. However they do have free coffee in the lobby. The highlight of the stay was the couples massage. It’s the first massage we’ve had since Covid hit, and it was very hygienic. Everything was changed out between patrons, and we could see them disinfecting from the tables to the floors. Tim and Steve were wonderful, and we’ll definitely come back for another massage. Overall a nice stay.

We intended to be on a Seabourn cruise this month. Although small potatoes compared to other COVID Casualties, we really needed some down time. The upside of COVID is that Niagara Falls had no crowds, we lucked out with 22 degree temperatures in November and we had a gift certificate we used at the Sterling Inn. Although we missed the swaying of the ship and the twice daily housekeeping (COVID protocols well respected at Sterling Inn), we were exceptionally thrilled with the warm, cheerful, attentive and helpful staff throughout our stay. The generous room size, fireplace, windows that open, comfy beds and steam shower made it a great retreat. The "Breakfast in Bed" (included in the room rate) was a lovely touch, as were the complimentary beverages in the lobby. It was our second choice this time, but it may well be first choice another time! The staff and the fabulous AG Room Service dinner were "6-star Seabourn" quality and the Spa exceeded Seabourn!

My boyfriend and I booked a little getaway at the Sterling Inn & Spa for my birthday weekend (end of October). Though we didn’t have to travel far to get there, as soon as we stepped foot in the hotel, we knew it was going to be exactly the little trip away that we needed! Prior to booking, I called the hotel and spoke with Deanna, who was so incredibly helpful. We spoke about different packages they were offering and Deanna ultimately set everything up for us - dinner, spa, room, etc! I can’t say enough good things about the customer service! Thank you Deanna for creating the perfect environment to celebrate my birthday. The room: Let me just say, WOW. Our room was gorgeous! We opted for the king bed/jacuzzi, and it was so incredibly spacious (seriously, like a little apartment!) Fully equipped with a luxurious shower, jetted (very large) bathtub, TV’s, Fireplace, additional seating and a very comfortable bed that provided us with two great nights of sleep! We were also on the main level (and I normally don’t like the idea of this), but the way everything was set up and the multiple blinds/ shades on the windows, I honestly didn’t even think about it once! Felt safe the entire time :) Though I can’t speak to other rooms, ours was more than we could have even imagined! Personally, we felt that because it was a smaller Inn (rather than one of the larger hotels in Niagara) the fact that there were fewer rooms on the premise, allowed them to be more spacious, better equipped, well taken care of, etc.,(quality over quantity 100%)! Cleanliness: Especially now during COVID, we both felt completely safe! We would actually actively see cleaning staff around throughout our stay, which was nice to see. You can tell this hotel takes all of the necessary precautions and values the safety of its guests. Not once did we feel unsure about how clean things were (which made the stay all that more relaxing)! Restaurant: We had my birthday dinner at the AG restaurant within the hotel. The food was incredible! So many fresh, delicious options to choose from. The ambiance was also really lovely and our waiter was great. All around, only good things to say about it! Although the hotel isn’t necessary located on the main strip with the rest of the hotels, everything is in walking distance (so not to worry!) My boyfriend and I spent a few hours walking around the falls/ through all of the attractions, but to actually get to that part of town was maybe a 10-15 minute walk? Everything’s very close! Another thing that I want to make a point of addressing, is to wait until you get inside the hotel before making any assumptions about it! The outside appearance of the hotel might be a bit different than what you’re used to (I was a little skeptical when we pulled up), but once you actually step inside you’ll see what a beautiful little gem this place is! It’s definitely going to be a birthday celebration I won’t forget. I’d highly highly recommend this hotel if you’re looking for a different type of experience in Niagara!! Thanks again to the wonderful Deanna for making the check in/planning process so effortless on our end- it was much appreciated!
