Our two night stay was very good. It was quiet and pleasant. The beds were extremely comfortable. It is situated very close to the falls, casino and margaritaville! It was reasonably priced, taking into consideration that ALL hotels are currently overpriced and considering its prime location.
We had a really great time at this hotel and found it much better than other hotels we have stayed at in Niagara Falls. To start, the lobby has a very unique design that is unlike any Doubletree I've been to before - it was almost like a ski lodge design to it. The staff we dealt with were very friendly and helpful, and our room was spacious and clean. Also, the parking was all on-site (some hotels make you park in off-site lots a block or two away) and more reasonably priced than many nearby hotels. The pool area was very nice - a much nicer design than most generic hotel pools you find. One of my favorite things about the room was that we could view the Falls from our room and see the nightly fireworks show that they have in Niagara Falls. As far as the hotel itself, it definitely lived up to my expectations for Doubletree hotels, which I find are usually a solid choice in any city. The location was great. We were almost right in the middle of the Clifton Hill area (with all of the tourist traps and restaurants and stuff) and Fallsview, so it was very easy to get to both areas - maybe a 10 minute walk to each. But the best part was that because it was in between the two and not right at them, it was much, much quieter and more peaceful. So after a long day enjoying the city, we got to escape to a much quieter and less rowdy part of Niagara Falls. For me, the location was just about perfect. If you don't feel like walking, you can take a taxi/Uber to either spot and be there in a couple of minutes. If I come back to Niagara Falls, I will definitely stay here again.…
Just returned from staying 3 nights at this hotel. Overall the hotel is very good, looked spotlessly clean throughout. Check in was seamless and the warm welcome cookie was a nice touch! Location is perfect, just 5-10 mins walk from the Clifton hill area with bars/restaurants along the way. We had a falls view room on the 16th floor which gave good views of the falls. A little tip though, nothing major, but the outside of the windows could do with a clean (not sure how often they are given how high up you are) Room was nice, bed was comfy, but I found the pillows too soft and had to use all 4! Also found it wierd that the duvets didn’t have covers, just a couple of thin sheets on top of it. Couldn’t work out how to turn the shower on initially, and a quick search online solved the problem, as it seems many people have had the same issue! Air con was ok, didn’t seem that powerful and room felt warmer than what we set it to. We had breakfast on one of the mornings, service from the staff was excellent but didn’t think the breakfast was very nice. The sausages tasted as though they had been deep fried and didn’t have a nice taste, so we decided not to go back. All in all a good stay and would happily stay again if ever I was in Niagara again.…
We booked a Falls View room and we were not disappointed! An excellent hotel with large rooms (2 queen beds) which was exceptionally clean. We ate in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast, both of which were delicious and good value. The swimming pool is a welcome bonus although I would have liked it to be a degree or two warmer. But overall, the staff and the hotel facilities are good value for money.
This hotel is centrally located in the tourist district. Clean, comfortable and convenient. Lot of ground parking and this time of the year the room rates are low and Niagara Falls is a great weekend get away from Toronto. Weather was cold so spent lot of time indoors. Loved the hotel, its atrium and restaurant.
We travel to Niagara Falls on a fairly regular basis and over the last few years the Doubletree has been our go to hotel – rooms are dated but a reasonable balance of price, location, parking. This trip was different – for reasons unknown check in took 35 minutes – I had a printed copy of the reservation but still the staff member repeatedly checked the computer, consulted with a colleague behind the scenes. At the 20minute mark I joked that maybe they were having difficulty finding us an upgrade and received a hostile “no chance” from the mystery person behind the scene. At 35 minutes the key was produced with no apology or explanation for the delay. Our next drama was entirely our own fault – ironed a pair of pants, hung them in the closet and forgot them. Called the next day and after several tries ended up talking to the housekeeping manager who was not in the slightest bit interested – claimed that her staff would not overlook something in the closet and would not take them – leaving the only option that we somehow made the story up! Not interested in having a staff person double check the room or look around to see if they were placed somewhere else. Tourists have returned in full force to Niagara Falls and prices have taken a significant jump while service in many places – particularly this hotel – has nosedived. We wont be back.…
So nice to be back here after a few years away. Our family loves the relaxing vibe of this hotel and the famous warm cookies at check in. Since it is not on the main strip, it’s less busy and that means never having to line up for anything. The kids love the indoor pool and the hot tub and we can’t wait to come back when the outdoor hot tub is open. Friendly staff, comfy beds, great a la carte breakfast and reasonable parking all make for a great getaway! Thank you DoubleTree, we’ll be back!
We loved our comfortable stay at the Doubletree. We were on the 17th floor with a falls view room. Loved it. Especially loved the window vents to let in fresh air!!! Very cool concept. Only disappointment was the restaurant was not open for dining. The pool and hot tub were so so nice. Surprised there was no shuttle to other locations as in the casinos.
Positives: Well maintained room, interesting design and decor throughout, good little gym and pool. Guest laundry!!!! Negatives: None really, the motel is set a couple of blocks back from the falls but still an easy walk everywhere. Random thoughts: North Americans have the strangest shower/bath water switch mechanisms!
The hotel is beautiful and location is good, the rooms are big and clean and staff are very polite, especially a Chinese girl (named Sun?) at the front desk, she is very friendly and helpful, made me feel welcome. Just a little bit disappointed: the famous chocolate chip cookies were not served
