The DoubleTree Fallsview Resort & Spa by Hilton - Niagara Falls is a favorite for its Swiss chalet-style charm and rustic feel, though a few guests find the decor could use refreshing. Its prime location is celebrated for being close to attractions and reasonably priced. The hotel offers commendable amenities including a spa and dining, despite some missing conveniences like microwaves. Cleanliness is a standout feature, with many guests appreciating the pristine rooms and facilities. Service at the hotel earns high marks for the staff's friendliness and efficiency. While the rooms generally provide comfort and impressive views, opinions vary with some noting room for improvement in decor and upkeep.

After researching several hotels in Niagara Falls, we settled on this one. We wanted a view of the Falls, but the hotels with the best views charged a ridiculous amount for parking, or parking was a hassle. I'm glad we chose this hotel, it was perfect for our needs. Parking was $22/day and we could walk almost everywhere we wanted to go. We chose a room with a view of the American Falls and it was lovely. The room was spacious and clean, the beds were comfy, and the water pressure in the shower was excellent. You are only about a 15-minute walk from the main viewing areas of the Falls, and Clifton Hill is about the same distance. We used the restaurant in the hotel once for breakfast, and it was pretty good. There is a Starbucks across from the check-in desks, which I found quite handy. There is also an IHOP across the street, and many restaurants within a short walking distance. The fitness area was great, with a variety of equipment and free weights. We didn't use the pool, but we took a peak and it looked great as well. The only warning I have has to do with the fireworks. Our room would have had the perfect view, and according to the tourism website they were supposed to go off at 8, but as we were going to our restaurant that night, they went off just after 6. That was disappointing, so just beware the times they advertise on Niagara tourism might not be correct.

Great place to stay with convenient access to Clifton Park, the Falls, and casinos. Room was very spacious with two queen beds, sofa, large windows, desk, etc. Nice feature of the room were screened fresh air vents located at the base of each window that could be opened when weather permitted. As a fan of fresh air, I love this feature. The hotel includes a spa and salon, an indoor pool, whirlpool, Starbucks, lobby bar and a nice steak restaurant on the second floor. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner and features reasonably priced choices of meals (sandwiches and full entrees.) Staff was friendly and very accommodating, I originally thought I had left my contact lens case at home and the front desk called around to several stores in the area to check for me. I thought that was above and beyond since I didn't have to waste time walking to random stores. Also, surprising enough, as large as the building is, the elevators were very fast. Seldom had to wait more than a minute.

Just returned from staying 3 nights at this hotel.

Overall the hotel is very good, looked spotlessly clean throughout. Check in was seamless and the warm welcome cookie was a nice touch!

Location is perfect, just 5-10 mins walk from the Clifton hill area with bars/restaurants along the way.

We had a falls view room on the 16th floor which gave good views of the falls. A little tip though, nothing major, but the outside of the windows could do with a clean (not sure how often they are given how high up you are)

Room was nice, bed was comfy, but I found the pillows too soft and had to use all 4! Also found it wierd that the duvets didn’t have covers, just a couple of thin sheets on top of it. Couldn’t work out how to turn the shower on initially, and a quick search online solved the problem, as it seems many people have had the same issue! Air con was ok, didn’t seem that powerful and room felt warmer than what we set it to.

We had breakfast on one of the mornings, service from the staff was excellent but didn’t think the breakfast was very nice. The sausages tasted as though they had been deep fried and didn’t have a nice taste, so we decided not to go back.

All in all a good stay and would happily stay again if ever I was in Niagara again.

This is one of the best hotels available in Niagara. We have stayed at all the other 4+ star properties and would recommend this one the most.
The best room type especially with kids to book is the king, US fallsview soaker tub room. The cleanliness is what takes us away. The hotel itself does not smell "musty" that most other hotels reek of.
Although, the rooms are supposedly the same size the king size rooms were larger in the "05" area. This time around the room was noticeably smaller. We had asked for a baby crib which was fairly clean as well. The glasses were clean bedsheet and bed very comfortable. Breakfast onsite is amazing for adults, not so much available for children/toddlers. For the most part staff are amazing, there is always the odd individual that seems not to care about customer service but this is made up by other nice helpful individusls. Other than that this is our go to spot when we stay in NF.

Overall disappointment...
The exterior of the Pension looks good. The rooms (at least ours, 715) are nothing extraordinary. The "side" view of the falls just made it possible to see the fog rising from it. The living room area, without windows and that looks like it was furnished by Ikea in the 80s is not welcoming, and in the bedroom, the TV perpendicular to the bed as well as to the office does not encourage to watch it. We also had a problem of water leaking from the ceiling into the bathroom, which lasted 2 days despite 2 calls, no one came. At the Pension’s disposal, we were given a gift of parking ($25 a night anyway, while there is $5 the 24 hours 5 minutes walk ..)
Breakfast borders on rip-off and is nothing extraordinary.
When you don't know, you can imagine Hilton's fine... but not that one.
And the Award Difference between Booking.com and the Live Pension was really not in the Pension's favor for our stay. We had booked the first night by booking, and the second at the reception, not far from 40% difference!!!

It's our 3rd visit to this hotel and it's a great hotel for Niagara Falls. However, it's summer and not a Ramada

Room had not been vacuumed, bathroom floor not washed. Had a shower, stepped out, towel went black. Team members did not have vacuum or floor cleaning supplies evident.

Curtains missing hooks, King sized bed with only 4 foam double pillows, old yellow foam hanging out of case, no liners.

Old TVs with no bluetooth or streaming ability.

Only one garbage pail for 2 room suite.

Pool had been user all day by families, garbage towels, everywhere, no obvious cleaning during the day.

9th floor elevator lobby had garbage left for 3 days

For 1500 Cdn for 3 nights would of expected more

Thank you for taking the time to give us a review. We are surprised you found the facilities in this condition as it's typical. Since the pandemic different things have changed in the hotel industry. Very few continue to offer traditional room stay over service, we will only enter the room for service at our guest request. We appreciate your feedback so we can review with our team and prevent these issues going forward.

The Double Tree Fallsview Niagara was our choice after much on-line research, based on its offering: room size, value, amenities, and location. We were happy with our decision. The hotel was quiet during our stay. Without exception, the staff was courteous, friendly, clear and helpful. Beds and pillows were comfortable, the walk-in shower was roomy, and the in-room coffee maker brewed 2 cups simultaneously. The view may not be the best that Niagara has to offer, but its location was walking distance to major attractions. Parking is plentiful and right on property. A water bottle station on the lower level provided unlimited supply of filtered water, and a lobby bar and Starbucks were appreciated.

Some reviews mentioned the lack of cleaniless. While we did notice discarded paper towels on the public bathroom floor as well as a broken toilet paper holder, those were remedied within an acceptable time frame, given the realities of operating a hotel during Covid times.

We’re Hilton diamond members so stayed here in a king suite on the 18th floor. View was good. We could see the falls & fireworks from the room. The suite was spacious but kind of out dated. Bed was too hard and so was the couch in the living room. There was NOT a microwave in the room. I contacted the front desk and found out none of the rooms have a microwave (🤦‍♀️). The food $ credit you get for being a diamond member only covers continental breakfast NOT the full buffet. We ordered off the menu the first morning and the second morning went to the starbucks stand in the hotel and were able to get 2 breakfast sandwiches and 2 muffins which they heated up for us. I would recommend a different hotel.

Robin we are sad to hear you did not enjoy your stay with us. Our rooms have been renovated and furnished new this year. We do have a microwave for guest use in the guest pantry that is open 24 hours. We are sorry you were expecting one in your room as our website does not show that as a room amenity. All benefits provided were in line with the program as well. We are happy to enjoyed the view and fireworks from your room and appreciate your feedback as it helps us to understand the needs and wants of our guest.

The reception was cordial, not overly friendly, but acceptable. The room we got was as I request on a high floor. The hotel looks relatively new. Rooms are nice and clean, as is the rest of the hotel. Nice bathroom also with a very nice bath, with sliding doors that opens it up to the bedroom. Bathroom has double sinks also and a decently sized walk-in shower. With Crabtree and Evelyn bath products.

Our room had views of the American falls and downtown Niagara Falls. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel’s restaurant. Both were reasonably priced and tasted good.

The hotel is a quick 8 minute walk away from both the Fallsview Casino and the OLG Concert Stage.

My only major gripe is the hotel charging $28 plus tax for parking. The Holiday Inn very close to it, located right across from the Fallsview Casino, offers complimentary parking for its guests. What makes this hotel’s parking so special that you, as a paying guest, have to pay almost $30 for above ground parking?? And when I mentioned this to the staff at reception, their advice to me was, if I don’t like paying for parking there, then I can go park somewhere else. It’s things like this that leaves you with a bit of a bitter taste in the mouth and spoils what otherwise could have been a great stay.

We stayed at the Doubletree for one night recently while visiting the falls, as a family of 4.

Our room on level 12 looked towards the Niagara river and we could see across to USA. It didn’t have a view of the falls (but we didn’t book a Fallsview room). The room was very comfortable and well equipped.

The hotel is an older property but is well presented and had a coffee maker and big tv in the room. Parking was available at $25/night. We used the swimming pool and hot tub and these were a good place to relax after a long drive.

The hotel is walking distance to the falls, Clifton Hill and the major restaurant districts. There is a bar on the entry level but it appeared dull and largely empty during our stay.

Downsides- while at other Hilton properties in Canada I can check in online and get the room key without needing to go to the front desk, at this hotel I needed to go to the front desk where it took some time to get checked in. I had already selected a room on the app so I don’t know why this step was needed, compared to properties in Toronto.

The Wifi in the room was patchy and made it hard to do basic things online (and impossible to do FaceTime calls without interruption).

This hotel is a good quality hotel in a reasonable location which I would happily recommend for a short stay.

Hello. If you are referencing the VIA Rail station in Niagara Falls, Ontario - Canadian side, that would be about a 12 minute taxi ride, cost would be about $15 or so. The official Amtrack Station is on the American Side. I would suggest google maps - with the station exact address to confirm what side of the border. If it is in the USA, I would suggest a taxi to the Rainbow Bridge and then walking across and taxi to the hotel. Less than $10 once you arrive into Canada.
