I booked here because they had a two room suite. Hotel was just OK. The carpet was filthy. Lighting was poor. Pool was small and good for my two boys. We were not in town to hang out in the hotel, so overall it worked out fine. Location is very good for Clifton Hill. I will probably not return to this hotel.

We always love staying here - free parking, walking distance to all and free breakfast. Maybe I was having a senior moment, however I cannot remember a stay here without an in-room safe. However one of the front desk ladies rudely let me know she's been there 30 years and there has never been any in room safes. I find that hard to believe as I always place my phone, extra cash and ID in one, and would have remembered the hassle if missing every visit. Regardless, she didn't need to show her attitude, hence 4 stars instead of 5. Anyhoo, we still had another great time and if not for the receptionist with her fake blond bob, it would have been 5 stars.

We travelled here with 3 kids and 2 adults! The hotel is in a perfect location! I wasn’t expecting a lot from the hotel, considering the price (I knew it would be more budget) but I was very impressed! It most definitely can use updates! Like updating the old carpets and the rooms but the beds are comfy and the breakfast is great!!! The hottub is broken right now which is disappointing but not a huge issue. The shower kept changing from boiling hot to freezing cold. That wasn’t enjoyable. I absolutely love the Victorian feel of the hotel! It’s very open concept with a huge breakfast area and pool in the lobby! I would definitely stay here again for the price point! If your looking for something fancy don’t stay here as the outdated aspects of the hotel will be an issue.

Only thing good is the location. Basic hotel with a very small pool in the lobby, more like a pond than anything else. Breakfast is basic at best. don't expect anything fancy. it saves you the 10$ Mc D breakfast. Room is a good enough size but never felt welcoming. Clean sheets but carpet felt unclean (wear those indoor slippers). Bathroom was so dated, felt like they didnt do any upkeep since they started the hotel. wallpaper is peeling and just an overall bad smell. Lucky we stayed only one day but the price is way way too high. 600$ for one night. Better to pay 100$ more and stay at one of the more fancy chains. Wouldnt book again.

This property is well located but sadly in need of updating and repairs. Too bad because it could be a lovely hotel. Staff was helpful. If some money were spent to repair and update this property, it could be very nice.

Hotel is very dated but very clean. Staff was very nice. My kids enjoyed the pool, even though it is small they had lots of fun in it. All in all it is great overall relative to the price point. If traveling with kids make sure they bring a device to keep entertained - the TVs don’t have much available for kids.

Booked for a last minute overnight adventure. The hotel is very dated, in need of repair BUT it was clean. Our heating/cooling wouldn’t kick on. We asked for a cot, it wasn’t in our room when we arrived, we left for dinner and it was left in the hall until we returned. Our light upon entry was burned out, mentioned it on our way out, and it was not fixed upon return, even though he said he was getting the bulb right away. Would I stay again? Likely not. Gratefully though - it was clean.

All the comments about the hotel being out-dated and worn out are fine. But the location, freebies like parking, breakfast, pool, and wifi are great attractions. The room sizes are very reasonable. The price is great for those looking for a budget hotel with these amenities. The staff are friendly and helpful to guests. So for those guests expecting more after reading all similar comments should be booking better rated hotels for their vacations in this highly visited city. The prices are often a reflection of the quality and value. We would book again on a future trip based on realistic reviews at that time. Surely an update would be appreciated, for a reasonable price.

Such a terrible hotel! The only positive is that they had some nice old photos of the Falls from 1878 which seems to be the same year the hotel was last refurbished and cleaned. The rooms were very very dates and in need of some love and a deep clean. The "free breakfast" was only free because no one would pay for it as it was extremely limited with no fruit of any kind, no yoguart and the worst coffee known to humankind. The staff were okish. Everything was falling apart and the pool was a pathetic attempt of being a pool. If you like watching static then the TV is the best for you.

We picked this hotel because of coupons for beer tasting (it really was just a taste) and casino promotion and the free breakfast. It was very inexpensive and now I understand the reason for the budget price. You cannot beat the location and parking is free. When you enter you see a formerly good hotel that needs to put some real money into renovations. There were many families sitting around in the centre court with kids enjoying the pool. I also saw many families at breakfast. The front desk staff were professional and cordial. The rooms are very tired with threadbare rugs and furniture, very creased linens, stained bathroom floor grout and bath mat. Having said that the room was clean and the shower was good. In the morning I saw the cleaning staff with their carts were piled high with clean linen and clearly they were doing their jobs. The hall rugs are also threadbare an in need of replacement which adds to the tired feel. The free breakfast was minimal. Powdered eggs, sausage patties, toast, cereal, juice, coffee and tea. Based on my travel experience, I would have expected more variety. There are lots of hotel options in Niagara Falls. Next time I will opt to pay a bit more for, hopefully, a better accommodation experience. This is truly a budget hotel.
