We stayed one night at The Belvedere. This is an independent hotel. Our room on the first floor at the front was very large and well-equipped. We were worried about possible street noise and noise when guests came through the front door but our fears were groundless. It was the quietest night we have experienced in a hotel in some... More

If you are bored with the chains stay at the Belvedere. It is historic inside and out in keeping with Kingston's nature but still nicely renovated. The breakfast was light but adequate. It is well located downtown but remains quiet.

This hotel was lovely to stay in and well worth the money spent ($129). There are a lot of negative reviews on here about the FREE breakfast but it was wonderful and the service was amazing and welcoming. The rooms are a bit dated and some work could be done to liven them up a bit but that certainly would... More

Staff extremely pleasant. Building and rooms are beautiful, bed was incredibly comfortable. Breakfast is filling - if you don't have enough, don't be afraid to ask for more. Location just can't be beat. We'd stay here again before going to a chain hotel.

The Belvedere is old but elegant. It's like stepping back in time. It's well kept but not modernized so the feel is very period. Staff are friendly and the rooms are nice and airy with antique pieces. The bed was very comfortable. The light breakfast was quite nice, coffee, orange juice, toasted English muffin with peanut butter, cheese, butter and... More

We stayed one night after Toronto. Looking back, I wish I booked 2 nights here instead of Toronto. Although there were no fridge or drink facilities but they provided us refreshment if you asked for one. Breakfast was lovely , eaten in the lounge. Fruits were there to help yourself. Furniture are lovely antique ones. Bed was comfortable. Our room... More

This charming mansion provides lovely accommodation. The beds are big and comfortable, the windows open in most rooms, and breakfast is served elegantly in the main floor living room. Plenty of fresh fruit and good quality food.

We had not booked anything while travelling to Kingston and while going around the town came across Hotel Belvedere, The location is really great and the look of the building is quite charming - old and and very distinct. Thought we would try it out instaed of going to one of the regular hotel chains. It is bit on the... More

The Belvedere was a beautiful respite from a stormy February evening. We had a spacious comfortable room across from the grand salon. The staff were very attentive and helpful. A nice breakfast was served in the salon, a very impressive room with a beautiful fire roaring, very high ceilings, ornate ceilings, beautiful artwork and very interesting furniture. This would be... I stayed at Hotel Belvedere during Writer's Fest. I treated the weekend as a writing retreat and choose a suite on the upper floor that was quiet and private with a lovely view. The architecture of the building is just lovely and the staff were kind enough to bring up a continental breakfast for me each morning. It was close... More
