We traveled from Wi, made one hotel stop along the way. I want to be fair so I will start with the positives. We enjoyed a beautiful walking path along the lake behind the hotel. Also, our room was nice. As for the disappointments, because we traveled so far, we wanted to enjoy a pool or a hot tub. However, when we got there, the sign on the desk said the pool is closed today. When we asked about a hot tub, he said we stopped using the hot tub when Covid struck and have not used it anymore. We asked if the pool would available tomorrow and he said yes. The next day the pool is closed again. The third day the man at the desk said it would be available later in the day and he would let us know when it got repaired, but we never heard anything and we checked out on the fourth day so to our disappointment we had come for some rest and relaxation and hoping to sit around the pool and read a book but we didn’t get that. In addition, the breakfast room is so small that you’re bumping into everybody. People are lifting plates over your head to get around you and it was very uncomfortable to pick up your food. The pancakes I had were very tough and cold and would’ve made great shoe leather. I felt the responses from the desk personnel were very insincere, and unconcerned about any issues that were present it to them.

Stayed here for 1 night as we were visiting family in the area. The location is amazing and centrally located with a lot of things nearby. Maria was very kind and funny, she made the checkin process seamless and enjoyable after a long drive into the area.

Came to hotel in person to see if they have inter leading rooms available for my requested 3 night stay. They said absolutely yes and proceeded to make my booking. When we arrived a few weeks later to check-in, we were told these rooms are not available and they would have to give us alternative rooms. We got two rooms on the basement level, not interconnected. To make matters worse, here are the defects we had with the rooms: Room 1: toilet blocked. Room 2: Basin won’t drain, coffee machine does not work, and worst, aircon does not cool. When we addressed the immediate issue with front desk, ie: blocked toilet, we were told they not sure if they have someone to send but will call supervisor to ask. We waited two hours with no feedback. We then went looking for a plunger and then addressed the toilet and basin ourselves. What a joke. Did not know the Aircon was not cooling until having to endure a night of limited sleep. Only to wake up next morning to see the coffee machine is broken too. Stay away, this place does not meet even the basic hotel standards.

we were hesitated to book at the hotel after reading some previous reviews. We are so happy we did! Best Location!!! here are some of the questions people asked: - parking: we were afraid the hotel wouldn’t be able to provide on site parking due to the “sound of music” festival over the weekend. The park was blocked for hotel guests only and we had no issue getting a spot ($15 overnight) - room is spacious with microwave and fridge - we got a room on the 3rd floor (window facing east) With all the concerts right beside the hotel, we didn’t hear any noise at night - breakfast is included in the booking. (From 7:30am to 10am) I suggest to go early! Some items might run out (and take some time to cook) if you go in the last half hour or so - we love the patio! Great views! - staff are very helpful and friendly!

Our biggest issue was the lack of hot water pressure in our shower effectively limiting us to a cold shower each day. Despite mentioning this many times and asking to speak to management nothing was ever done despite assurances from the front desk that the problems were fixed. 3 nights of no hot water for showers. The Television reception was horrendous and basically unwatchable. I suspect they are trying to avoid paying for cable or satellite and are using antenna airwaves. Management was never available and would always be in tomorrow but alas, tomorrow never comes. I tried phoning to talk to Lili Vlad the general manager but was put on hold forever with no pick up. My perception is that they manage though avoidance and hope you just go away and they don’t care if you come back. For compensation on check out they waived the parking fee which is ironic as parking was one of the few things we had no problems with. 3 rd world experience in one of the richest cities in Canada for $300 per night.

Stayed one night for a wedding held at the hotel. Location is fabulous. Right on the lake. Lots of people out enjoying a sunny day. Lobby was bright and inviting. Room was clean. Hallway carpet on floor 2 needs a good steam clean. Parking was a challenge but they were busy with wedding guests, restaurant visitors, etc. We didn’t try the breakfast. I would not specifically stay here again if the price was higher than average for the area. I’m not sure what else we received that warrants the price versus a chain hotel.

Customer service was poor from the start. No one was at the front desk, so I had to peak inside an office to check-in. When checked in I was not given the wifi password, times for breakfast, or any other information about my stay. I had to phone down for the wifi access, as well as room service since the website does not give instructions for ordering. Find out you have to call the restaurant inside the hotel yourself, there is no connection from the room phone. However, their online menu is not accurate, as they "never had" a couple of the options on this menu, which was disappointing. The worst would have to be the paid parking, which is open to the public and means it is almost always full. This should be open to hotel patrons, or at least have a section designated for hotel customers. The room was clean with a nice view of the park, no views of the water which was odd. Staff did not come by to clean rooms every day, as they did not stop by to pick up the rooms service tray I left in the hall.

There were some good things here. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. There were three major problems: parking, breakfast, and staff. When we arrived the parking lot was full, and we were on a tight schedule. While one of us circled the lot, one went to reception, waited in line, and we were finally directed to a municipal lot a few blocks away. back at the hotel the staff at the reception desk could not tell us whether or not we would be charged for parking on a public holiday, and made not offer or effort to find out. This remained typical of the staff who--while not rude--were simply unable to engage at all. But worst of all was the breakfast: the hotel's website shows a photo of some other location, with hot serving vessels of bacon, eggs, etc. The buffet is cold, and VERY uninspired, except for items which you can request at the reception desk. I ordered a quiche. What I got was a small cardboard box containing two lukewarm disks of a congealed, chewy substance that was like no quiche I have ever eaten. One bite and I was done. Seating is at a few tables near the desk. We arrived early, but the few tables were already occupied. I think this is the worst hotel breakfast I have ever experienced.

Didn't love it. The hotel has paid parking which was difficult to find parking since it's attached to a bar. The walls are so thin we could hear everything happening in the room next to us. The view on the website with the patio is not part of the hotel, it's part of the bar. The breakfast that comes included is a joke. The breakfast is in the lobby as opposed to all the meeting rooms and everything is premade. For example a western omelette which has pepper. It was like ordering from a high school cafeteria. The server told me everything is premade so they couldn't take out the peppers. So I had 2 boiled eggs that looked like they were squeezed out of those plastic bags from the grocery store. I went for my birthday and I don't think it was worth it.
