Harbour View Inn is located in the heart of Barrie at Berczy and Dunlop St. across from beautiful Kempenfelt Bay. Our visitors can walk to the downtown core in less than four minutes and be on the walking and cycling path around Kempenfelt Bay in less than two minutes. Our 1885 historic building has been carefully reconstructed to preserve its antique oak stairwells, high ceilings and Victorian window designs. The turn of the century atmosphere combined with modern technology and cloud-soft bedding make this an ideal location for today's business traveler. We have a beautiful property in a great location, and we are ready to serve you in a truly memorable way. We are determined at every level, to ensure your stay at Harbour View Inn is truly unforgettable.

We paid $300 for the penthouse suite. The furniture, carpet and drapery are very old and out-dated. Advertising says 18th century meets 21st century. I did not see 21st century anywhere in the whole building. The building was run down, no elevator and very narrow staircase to the 3rd floor. 2 TV’s but SUPER small. Wifi did not work at all. On the upside, the hostess was super friendly and helped us up the stairs with our luggage. The bedding and linens were very clean and bathroom was very clean as well. Location is perfect. Overall, still not with the money. Needs a complete facelift.

Really a nice place to stay, close to all downtown activities. It was priced correctly for what it is. Would definitely stay again if in the area.Minor details, our bed was a bit on the soft side. Also I would suggest the bed be made up with a top sheet, thin blanket (missing) and then comforter.

My husband and I stayed here for almost a month while I was receiving daily treatments at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie. Our room was cozy and homely with a small kitchenette to prepare meals when we did not feel like eating out at one of the many restaurants close by. We stayed in the winter so did not get to see much of the lake which is just across the road from the Inn, but I would imagine it is beautiful in the summer. Our room was kept spotlessly clean when we allowed housekeeping, but we were also given the privacy we desired. The staff were friendly, helpful but unobtrusive. I would recommend the Inn to anyone in the same situation I was in....it was a real "home from home"

I stayed here for a month while I was waiting for permanant accomodations toome available in town. I was very happy with their attention to detail; the staff went out of their way to accommodate my needs on more than one occassion. The rooms are cozy, quiet, and extremely clean. I wouldn't hestitate to recommend....

We stayed at this hotel after passing it in January 2015 on a previous visit and checked out their website. It was ideally located for us being just a 10 minute walk into downtown Barrie (bus terminal) and 20 minute walk away from our friends house. We were visiting for a fall wedding so this suited us just fine and price per room was exactly the same as the 'just of the highway' Inns only better located for those that maybe visiting without a car. My folks were in the penthouse suite and that was lovely with a separate living area and breakfast bar. I had the smaller suite below which was perfect for just one at $99 a night, 5 nights or over rate. A nicely equipped small kitchenette with kettle, coffee machine, plates, bowels, cutlery, fridge, sink and microwave. Perfect, we will be returning next time we are in Barrie.
