We spent 2 wonderful nights in the Shamrock cabin at Avalon. The cabin was clean, comfortable and well equipped. The large front deck overlooking the lake was a great plus. We spent a lot of time on the dock down at the lake - swimming, relaxing and enjoying meals. It was nice to unplug and be off the grid for...

My husband and I found the Avalon Eco Resort on a spur of the moment trip to Killarney. Luckily, Mike and June had one available cabin, (eagles nest) for one night! This turned out to be one of our best experiences on our no-plan road trip around Georgian Bay. Our intention was just to crash-we simply needed a roof. However,...

My spouse and I went to visit my brother who was staying here with his 3 kids and spouse. We had recommended the resort as we previously stayed here a few years ago. The resort is just as great now as it was a few years ago. Great location, very clean cabins and washrooms, and amazing views. Also, the hosts...

Avalon Eco Resort is a lovely little getaway from the hustle and bustle of the main town of Killarney. Anyone seeking solitude while in the area would enjoy the peacefulness here. The eco resort is within close proximity to Killarney Provincial Park (5mins) and within reasonable driving distance from Sudbury (40mins) if something must be purchased in the city. Great...

Great place, Located 15 min from the park Very flexible with kayak rental in the local lake Tyson. You can take the kayak when ever you want to, and pay as you use it ( net time...) The owner is friendly and helpful , gave us good recommendation on bear watching

Hosts: You won't find nicer hosts anywhere! Mike and June greeted us warmly and Mike took us on a tour. They then invited us for a fish fry (fresh Pickerel) with other guests which we happily accepted and which was delicious. We shared many interesting conversations with Mike over the 5 days and he was always happy to answer questions...

Well! if you are looking for a place to be with nature this is it. With no electricity, no internet, no water, no cell phone - you have every reason to disconnect from the grind and spend some quality time with nature and family. Isn't that what vacation is all about. This place got its own canoes, kayaks, pontoon or...

Ok, so we were absolutely crazy and went to Killarney pp without a reservation. While we got a campsite for one night, we couldn't get anything for the next two days. So we went to Avalon and June and Mike got us a place to stay for the first night and a campsite for another two. As you will read...

This was nothing like we expected. Yes the hosts were freindly and helpful - too much so. We were looking for privacy - not for being waved at by our bathrobe clad host as I stumble to the communal bathroom in the morning. At these prices, not having bathrooms in the cabins is inconvenient to say the least. There is...

We spent a weekend at the Avalon Eco Resort and it was nothing short of amazing! We normally don't write reviews of our trips but this hidden gem definitely warrants a praise. We were delightfully greeted by Charlie and Mike upon our arrival and they were welcoming making us feel right at home. Everything about this place was wonderful, from...

“Any cabin with a west view or the one lakeside tent area. Bring in potable water with you as the resort only offers washing up lake water but for a small fee ( gas money essentially), Mike will take you to a natural spring to fill up your potable water needs in your containers. The other option is to use the taps at Killarney Park when at the office getting your park permits for the trails.”
