Unimpressed. Grounds need tending... overgrown and look neglectted. Exterior looks very tired. That said, the staff was very pleasant and the location was perfect. Walking distance to downtown and the harbor, yet in a quiet spot. Check-in was limited to between 4-6. We arrived at 3 and had to "kill time" waiting to check in. We tried calling but only...

The Puffin was a delight. My husband "doesn't like" B&B's; his comment the 1st morning was that he never thought one would be this wonderful. We were in the Brier room upstairs and it was elegant. The bed was the best of our whole trip, the decor was perfect and the en suite bath had everything we needed. The spring...

We were only here for a short over night but we had a very nice time. We arrived late but Laurie was there to welcome us with open arms. We had a great room with lots of space and a really nice sized en-suite washroom. The rooms all have Internet TV, and even though we didn't watch much TV, it...

Delightful stay at the Puffin! Lovely character home with all our desired modern conveniences such as Netflix on a wall mount tv. The proprietors were very engaging and attentive and we were happily entertained over a scrumptious breakfast with local historical tales. 👍👍💖

My husband and I had a lovely stay in one of the rooms upstairs. Ours was the only room (I think) where our private bathroom was across the hall. And while this wasn't ideal, it's such an intimate space with just a few rooms, that it was not an issue. The hosts are so kind and warm and informative about...

In the nineteenth century the town of PIctou had a more prosperous time, and this was the spacious, solidly built home of its most prosperous citizen, the man who brought the train to town to serve his iron foundry. As a matter of fact, the old train station stands right across Front Street from this bed and breakfast, between the...

Lovely old home in Pictou. Host is a very outgoing, friendly woman who is very concerned that her clients are well taken care of. The breakfasts were delicious and plenty of food. The only drawback for my husband and I was that our washroom was across the hall and not attached to our room. Other rooms did have attached washrooms.

We were here passing thru for a night only and the place is nice but it's a work in progress kind of place. Upon arrival the first thing you notice is the landscape that is not completed and grass was not cut! But on the other hand the lady that was there I forget her name but she was very...
