We arrived by train and the Halliburton was within walking distance of the train station and the the waterfront. It is a lovely, historic building with great accommodations and a good breakfast. The second night we stayed in a ground floor room with windows overlooking the garden. It was a little small, dark and lacking in privacy. The room on... More

What a building and all those orignal details too. Its a nice little hotel but felt a little impersonal. Having said that its ideally located for the harbour front, and all the touristy stuff. Breakfast is good and the rooms a reasonable size and very clean. It had the best shower most pwoerful shower we expereicned in Canada for three... More

My husband and I stayed at the Halliburton for our one night visit to Halifax. The staff was very friendly and helped us find a nice lunch spot. The location is fantastic, you can walk anywhere. Our room was very nice, we stayed at the building that was 2 buildings down from the main hotel. It was quiet, clean, and... More

My husband and I lucked into finding this accommodation gem, thanks to a recommendation of our friendly taxi driver. Such a quaint boutique Inn. The staff were very friendly and helpful, our rooms ( as we stayed twice) were so very very cozy and comfortable.. If you are considering a trip to Halifax I would highly recommend this Inn. However,... More

Great location and staff. Most comfortable bed I have slept in. Continental breakfast was okay but best to go out . Very close to the Boardwalk, Immigration Museum and University. Plenty of street and Public parking options within a short walk.

We were in an adjoining building to the main hotel, which was convenient and quiet, with and outdoor patio. But the main thing is the location, which makes most things in Halifax within walking distance..

Quaint and just OK. The location is great. My overall rating is a 3 out of 5 (I started writing this review and realized I had it confused with another spot we stayed at that was a 5 out of 5 for all categories - oops - and unfortunately cannot change it except the overall review). Room was small (not... More

This is a great place to stay if you are going to explore the ocean-front of Halifax. There's a great blues bar right in back of it. We walked to the Citadel and there were many pubs in the area. It's a great place to stay full of character.

We really enjoyed the atmosphere at the Halliburton. Old-world charm, friendly desk staff, and close proximity to the Halifax waterfront made this a great place to spend a few nights in the city! Our room was in the Lithgow House. The room was spacious, with a beautiful historic flair. We were surprised to find an adjoining small bedroom with twin... More

I loved this little boutique hotel. My room was perfect. I even had access to a lovely outside deck right on the top floor. The staff are so welcoming and have great tips. . My reason for travelling was to set up our daughter at University. The location was perfect. Close to the water and a short drive to Dalhousie.... More
