Stayed in the suite on the main floor. Nice room, very clean. Has a patio and a nice back yard. Good breakfast and very friendly hosts. Nice walk on shaded streets to downtown. Travelling with another couple. The stayed in the 2nd suite and found it to smell musty. Definitely need a dehumidifier in that room. Ask for the main... More

People very friendly and helpful even though they had a tuff time understanding English. They have two rooms, we had the basement. Upon entering it smelled musty but that odour quickly disappeared once you got down the stairs. The room was quit large with coffee tea maker and snacks. Bed was comfortable but unfortunately the bathroom was a let down.... More

We booked this b&b mainly for price and location. Not the least bit disappointed! The hosts are absolutely charming and so very willing to please their guests. The room we had was very clean, with many little "extras" that make it so nice. We were walking distance to downtown to see the Citadel and the harbour boardwalk, as well as... More

Very updated, lots of amenities (towels, Mini fridge, TV, wifi (good connection) travel information about NS and Halifax specifically, private entrance with a private balcony, extra blankets and pillows, parking, hairdryer and shower essentials...) They made sure that the mini fridge was stocked with water, and there were always treats available in the room with coffee and tea. Our hosts... More

We enjoyed our stopover here. the room was spacious and well equipped, breakfast good... freshly chopped fruit on the side a nice touch and Michelle, the Chinese owner and her husband were very helpful, even offering us a lift to pick up our rental car. it's located near a lovely park, near bus routes and walkable (just! ) from downtown... No sign out front indicating it's a bed & breakfast location. Was easy to find. The room was clean and spacious. A bit of a language barrier as we were greeted by the daughter whom speaks very good English. We had to come back as the room wasn't ready and the key was in the mailbox. We were not asked... More

This Bed and Breakfast is not marked by any signs but the address is on the home. It was not difficult to locate. We arrived when the hosts were not home but they left a note on the front door, the key in the mailbox and a note on the door to our room. I thought that was very accomodating.... More

When we arrived at Robies End B & B in Halifax, which took some locating as there is no signs on the property to tell you it is the B & B, we were met by a Chinese lady who spoke only a little English. We were taken to the two rooms we had booked and she failed to open... More

While there were some lovely things about this place (location, nice gardens, very clean, working wi-fi), all in all it was very disappointing. I can't imagine how it has earned 4 stars, though perhaps these are leftover from the previous owner. The current owner, Anna, is clearly running a business, not a socially-oriented B&B. She pushed hard to get what... More

In mid August I stayed for 4 nights at Robie's End on a tree lined street, and not far from the Nova Scotia Archives and the shops on Spring Garden Road. I had a comfortable room overlooking a peaceful garden. One evening I heard the call of a loon coming from the North West Arm. This B&B was an ideal... More

“The garden room is on the main floor - pretty, nice walk out onto the deck, medium-sized. The 'king room' is in the basement. We were offered this room, but declined it as it smelled damp. It was clearly in need of a dehumidifier, but Anna did not acknowledge this.”
