We were very impressed with the Claymore Inn & suites. We've been using tripadvisor on our trip to find restaurants, sightseeing and hotels /motels. This site has been invaluable as we have been driving around the island and booking hotels as we go. The Claymore Inn was easy to find. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. We loved the Scottish... Stayed for 1 night with my children during a very busy weekend in Antigonish. First impression of the hotel was that it was in dire need of renovations...The rooms, however, were clean, kitchen facilities were a nice surprise, beds were comfortable. My kids loved the pool, sauna and hot tub. Hotel location was close to a grocery store, restaurants and... More

The Hotel is certainly outdated but was clean. A/C unit roared when it changed cycle & woke me several times during the night. The fridge in room did not work??Our cold drinks got warm! Needs some TLC. Best thing about the place was the attached cafe Justamere!! Would give it one more try if in the area.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. We stayed on the golf package and everything was well done. The hotel was well located. It may be a little dated but rooms were clean and comfortable. Hot tub jets didn't work very well. We had breakfast at the restaurant and the food was very good.

We just concluded another wonderful week in Antigonish, Nova Scotia. As usual, we stayed at the Claymore Inn, our "home away from home." We have been staying there for the past 10+ years and try to visit the area yearly whenever possible. Our accommodations are alway well suited, clean, comfortable, and convenient. Claymore's location is centrally located and allows easy... More

Two of my friends and I ate at the Claymore Restaurant at noon today, June 15, 2016. It was a great experience! I had a Club House Sandwich and a lovely salad with in house dressing. The coffee was very fresh as Olivia told us she just made a new Batch. She was always checking on us to see if... More

This is an older hotel without all the modern conveniences, but it is very clean and comfortable. It you want fancy and modern, this is not it. However, if you want a quiet, cozy night's sleep you will find it at this hotel.

My cousin and I stayed for a long weekend while visiting from Alberta, and never had any issues. The hotel is older, and a little dated, but we found it clean and welcoming none the less. We stayed there 3 nights and it almost equalled 1 night in halifax at the Marriott, where we payed $22 to park 94 cents... More

This inn / hotel is not a stunner, but it is clean, close to the highway but quiet, near a liquor store and a large grocery store. Helpful, friendly, and welcoming staff. ALSO has a great attached Cafe / Bistro

Fooled by photos, booked for a night for what was supposed to be a romantic getaway. Captain Obvious wasn't waiting for us in the room, he should have been. Toilet hadn't been properly cleaned, shower was streaked, rusty pipes and drains. Electrical outlet was right beside the shower. Really? Guess no building inspectors around. The 80s called, they want that... More
