We had a wonderful time at Hillsdale House Inn. The room was beautifully decorated and the bed very comfortable. Val was very helpful and informative. The breakfast was delicious and started with wonderful homemade peach muffins, coffee and juice. The main course was cooked to order and delicious. Would love to stay here again.

Highlights include friendly host; excellent breakfast, menu, and service; antique bath tub; and charming cat. Stairs up to and inside room could represent a problem for some. Very close to downtown (walking), Fort Anne, and Historic Gardens.

Stayed one night and had a tastefully decorated ground floor room. Lovely accommodations that are walking distance to everything in the town. Helpful hosts, comfortable beds, great breakfasts, beautiful furnishings, expansive grounds. Would definitely go back.

We stayed at Hillsdale House on a Thursday night in July. The house is beautiful with lovely antique furnishings. The hostess, Val, was welcoming and well versed about Annapolis Royal, with many suggestions for dinner. Our room wasn't large, but we did have a very comfy loveseat, and comfortable bed. Since it was unseasonably hot, we appreciated the AC. Our... More

I love going back to the Hillsdale House where you can depend on quality ,friendliness and comfort. A delicious breakfast with all the coffee we could drink. My sister and I shared a large room with two comfy beds and a sitting area. We were at the back of the house where it was very quiet. I will be back!

This inn is beautiful, elegant and located in a great location in Annapolis Royal. It felt like I was staying in a real Victorian home. The innkeeper was really nice and so accommodating. Because it was our anniversary, she was kind enough to give us a free upgrade to a beautiful room. Since we arrived so late in the evening,... More

We were fortunate in the extreme to stay 3 nights in this gorgeous B & B I cannot recommend it highly enough. The setting is super with lovely gardens. The rooms are all individual, ours had air con which was fortunate as it got very warm while we were there. We had a problem with the shower which was fixed... More

Absolutely delightful inn with an elegance of days gone by. Spacious, clean and comfortable accommodation, just a short stroll from town. Wonderful gardens. Lovely dining room, service attentive, food delicious; staff are very accommodating and do their best to cater for dietary needs. Highly recommend.

Authentic old B & B with period furniture and gorgeous grounds! The owner of the inn is helpful and unobtrusive! She suggested a ghost tour and restaurants which we enjoyed. The room and bathroom were spotless and comfortable. The breakfast was cooked to order and heavenly! In addition, fresh peach muffins were served - which were probably the best muffins... More
