We staying at the Tulip Tree Inn in mid October for a brief getaway vacation. We hit the jackpot with the Tulip Tree Inn. Our hosts, Sue and Ted made our stay so comfortable and enjoyable. They were a wealth on information about the area and places to visit and eat. At their recommendation we explored a hiking area nearby.... More

From time of arrival to when we left, Sue and Ted could not have been more gracious. As it happened, we were the only guests that evening which made us feel even more at home. Our conversations with them were extremely interesting. The room was one of the nicest we ever stayed in with a separate large sitting area with... More

Ted and Sue are fantastic hosts. We spend some beautiful days in this excellent accomodation. Ask Sue about her famous recipes for cookies, scones, muffins etc. She serves it every morning. Ted and Sue always had a helping hand, good recommendations and it was always very nice to talk to both. Comfortable rooms, very clean, fresh towels, and the breakfast... More

Ted and Sue were beyond hospitable in this charming B&B. Each room was exquisite and had every amenity imaginable. Comfortable, clean bedding, heated floors, fresh towels, and such delicious breakfast. Sue's buttermilk pancakes are not to be missed! I wish every night away from home felt this much like home!

We stayed at the Tulip Tree B & B for two nights with our daughter. We used Elizabeth's Hideway and experienced crisp, beautiful bed linen and a mattress that made you feel on cloud 9; we appreciated the large and spotless bathroom, the walk-in closet, the attention to detail, the decor, the quietness, etc. too long to describe. Our daughter... More

Staying at this Federal style B&B reminds us how attention to detail is sometimes an elusive art form. Sue and Ted have staged this accommodation to be serene, interesting and authentic. Every item selected is perfectly placed, not overly fussy, with the ultimate goal of comfort as the key. The breakfast fritatta, blueberry scones, biscuits and fruit were elaborately plated,... Thank you so much for your wonderful and thoughtful review of our B&B. We are so happy that you enjoyed your stay with us and hope that if you are ever in Annapolis Royal again you will consider staying with us. We weren't sure what you meant by "Federal" style of B&B in your description so for clarification purposes, our... More

Just awesome. The entire place was incredibly clean, the beds were super comfy. I'm always squeamish about bathrooms, but these were spotless and had heated floors! And then there's the food...Fresh fruit, blueberry scones that were to die for, homemade fluffy waffles and one heck of an amazing omelet. Sue & Ted were very helpful in letting us know the... More

We stayed here a few days ago. The Tulip Tree is a gorgeous Bed and Breakfast, without doubt one of the very best we have ever stayed in. Sue and Ted Ashdown are superb hosts. Sue is the decorator and she has done a marvelous job. We loved everything about this delightful place. We will return!

We stayed for a night on the Labour Day weekend after a day of whale watching off Brier Island. Our room, Marie's Retreat, had all the comforts we could want. It was spacious, the bed was comfortable, the shower had lots of water pressure and it was quiet. The nice sunroom/sitting room off the bedroom was an unexpected bonus. The... More
