Found this place by accident..... we were traveling all day and had taken a long route to get to truro. we saw the well manicured sign and dirt road and decided to give it a try. I was met by one of the owners at the office in a matter of minutes and we were lucky to get a vacant... More

We stayed here for a few days and we absolutely loved it. The place was beautiful, full of trees and flowers. The view on the beach and sea was wonderful. Our 2 yo daughter loved the fact she could just go out and play in the garden. We took a 'one room' cabin and it was just enough for us.... More

we welcomed the outdoors and no wifi, it was just what we needed to celebrate our anniversary, it was easy to just be and not thinking about life at home and work, we lookforward to returning in the winter months.

This was our second weekend at the resort. We enjoyed ourselves so much the year before we came back this year. The cottages are cute and very comfy. The wood stove made the visit and as well as the view. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Everything you need for a weekend away from the city is there. Will... More

We spent one night at the Four Seasons and immediately wondered what it would be like in the winter. When you arrive from the long dirt road, there is a quaint feeling of small little cottages within a vast forest. Not to mention the view from the sites. It would be a lovely place to get snowed in at. I'm... More

This trip to Economy would have been wonderful but we stayed at the four season retreat. The location was great! Our plan was to stay for one night but the biggest snow storm that I've ever witnessed left us stranded and we got snowed in. That would have been fine but we got snowed for THREE DAYS!! Thats not the... More

A get-together with old friends in an amazing part of Nova Scotia. The views and hikes in this area are great, even in the latter part of the fall. We met wonderful people in Parrsboro, Masstown and Five Islands ... too bad they weren't the owners of the Four Seasons Retreat. The location is idyllic; however, repairs were underway at... More

We were quoted one rate by telephone when we booked our 3 bedroom cottage ($391). We erred in not getting a written quote. We only found out about the cost of our error when we checked out. When we checked in we requested a late checkout from the caretaker -- however we were not given a time to vacate. (our... More

Wonderful location for a few days that turned into a longer stay than planned! Booked a Cottage here as a base while on some business in the area plus wanting to catch up with friends and be in a quiet location! The cottage was comfortable and the highlight was the wood stove which at this time of year (Fall) was... More

The main reason we chose this place was for the view, which did not disappoint. It was a basic but comfortable cottage, with kitchen facilities (in which we prepared a meal of steamed clams and corn on the cob). There is a pool and a hot tub, which we did not use. If you plan to come here, you would... More
