Great rooms !!! The rooms are nicely renovated , well appointed and close to George street where there are great places to eat drink and be merry. You are close to the water and downtown. The restaurant attached has a good breakfast menu as well

We had the pleasure of staying two nights at the Blu on Water. It is located in a downtown historical building. Despite being located above a very active bar we were never bothered by any noise. We liked the fact that when restoring/renovating the building the character from the past was preserved. Exposed old brinks were incorporated into the modern... More

Spent 2 nights there on business. Staff is very friendly and their focus is to make sure you have everything you need. Rooms are spacious and modern, very trendy and decorated with care. Very clean and it smelled great. The restaurant is great too, I highly recommend and will go back there for sure. One of the best hotel I've... More

I booked this hotel based on a recommendation from a friend and was very happy with my decision. The room was spacious, bed was super comfortable and I really liked having a coffee and tea maker. I stayed on a weekend night and the room was a bit noisy, but that's to be expected when you are staying over a... More

Right on the Main Street with a view of St John's harbour if you can see over surrounding parking lots and fences, we loved this unusual hotel. Doesn't impress from the front but the rooms are super cool and comfortable and the bar and restaurant welcoming and delicious. A bit pricy but worth it.

Spent just one night here mid-week. Nice, modestly sized room with a queen bed, nice sitting area with comfy chairs and a flat-screen TV, parking lot view. A couple of picky issues. First, all hotel information is very clear that quiet hours start at 11 pm and guests are expected to be quiet after that time - part of the... More

This place is AMAZING. Love the character and feel of this place. Why pay the big prices at the Delta when you can come here!!! The service is incredible and the staff are so friendly. We have stayed 4 times!

The Blue on Water hotel occupies several floors over the bar and restaurant. You actually check in at the bar and one of the staff takes you up to the room via a "lift" (not to be confused with an elevator). Sully took us up and got us acquainted with the room. He refused to take a tip which was... More

We spent two nights at Blue on Water during a recent trip to St. John's. It was a really good experience. The staff couldn't have been more friendly or helpful. The rooms were modern and well appointed. The location is perfect in the heart of St. John's. We were a little concerned about possible noise since it is on Water... More

If you’re travelling to St John’s, there’s only one place to stay to experience Newfoundland hospitality at its finest: Blue on Water. The small boutique hotel is housed in an 1870s building on the main street of restaurants and shops in St John’s, making it the ideal location for walking to dinners (Raymond’s!) and sights. The rooms are clean, spacious... More
