Beautiful home. Perfectly furnished, beautiful stained glass and spacious rooms. Breakfast to order was excellent and plentiful. Even got to try Caplin. Very convienient location to downtown with a short walk. Ten minute walk from 25 restaurants. Our host Eileen was warm, fun and on top of all areas of the facility. She has an infectious laugh and is an... More

Stayed for three nights and enjoyed our stay. We were able to park in the driveway. Some guests had permits to park across the street. Wonderful breakfasts made to order by request. Free WiFi. Our only complaint was that the shower temperature was not constant - affected by water being run in other rooms. Historic home. Location was perfect -... More

We stayed at Banberry house for four nights with friends, the location is perfect, large rooms, good amenities.Parking is across from the B&B the host will provide you the permit. Our room was number 4 overlooking the main road and did not bother us the traffic noise. The only issue we had, our bed was very soft and made noise... More

Interesting old home, built in 1892 and retrofitted as a B and B. The rooms were comfortable and the breakfast excellent. Water Street was a short and colourful (albeit hilly) walk away and Signal Hill was a 8 K (return) run (on the trails). Overall: a pleasant and convenient pale to stay when exploring St. John's.

We stayed at Bamberry house one night, the room was very nice and clean and there's a private parking space in front of the house. Breakfast is very good. We really want to thank the owner because we lost our luggage ,and she helped us a lot. We didn't like Saint John's too much but this bb is what we liked... More

We enjoyed a very relaxed 3 night stay in a very comfortable, clean and private room. Our spacious room looked out over the multicoloured homes on military road, where we could hear the soothing sounds of beautiful city life. Our hostess served a delicious breakfast each morning. The pancakes were hearty and tasty. I would definitely recommend this place, if... More

Beautiful rooms and period furniture and art. Only problem is that the caretaker was not very friendly at all when we arrived, and not very accommodating with a request for an early breakfast for our children when we had to fly out early. I found that very unfortunate, after staying is so many other places where people go out of... More

Stayed for two nights after 12 day west to east trip across Newfoundland. Well maintained and graceful period home with modern amenities. Convenient for downtown, 10 minute walk (albeit rather strenuous!). Convenient and free parking. We had beautiful room on ground floor at back of house with ensuite bathroom. Hostess Eileen extremely accommodating and helpful. Breakfast was excellent with wide... More

We stayed at this elegant Bed & Breakfast on our way in and out of St. John's. Our flight was delayed and Eileen was most accommodating in leaving a key for us as well as a parking place right outside the door. The bathroom was large and beds were comfortable. Breakfast is served anytime between 8 - 10 - "come... More

The Banberry Inn is a charming B&B centrally located with off street parkin. The proprietor, Aileen, went out of her way to prepare codfish cakes (we don't eat meat) as a substitute for breakfast meats as part of a sumptuous breakfast.
