Overnight trip with girlfriends. Upgraded to adjoining rooms with 1 king and 2 queens. Excellent staff. Clean rooms. Water view with some lovely seal watching in the harbour. Right downtown next to restaurant and pubs. Easy to get to hotel. Girls out for an evening couldn’t ask for more!

What a beautiful hotel nestled on the Port of Saint John. A wonderful location to access really beautiful views, uptown SJ historic buildings, great pubs and restaurants, cool shopping opportunites. The hotel has an amazing breakfast and great staff.

Some reviewers had not a good experience. But this hotel is outstanding. It’s located on the boardwalk. The waterfront view from the room is breathtaking. They are building a huge garden on the waterfront near by. The room is very comfortable and clean. Is spacious. The beds are very comfortable. A lot à pillows. Comfortable little coach or chair. Office desk is bof enough. The screen is 55 or 65 inches. Some people were complaining because the rooms are outdated. But it’s luxurious and it’s far to be 1970s style. It’s 2000s. The bathroom has a lot of space and is fully equipped. There is no glass shower but it doesn’t really matter. The counter is marble and floor in ceramic. The lobby is beautiful. It’s multilevel. The staff is amazing. There are texting us twice a day I think to make sure everything is fine and the come over as soon as we need something. I think the hotel should published how to access the parking. Because as soon as you know is very easy. It’s the market square underground parking with a door that will lead you directly in the hotel. Very easy to move spinners luggages. The York bistrot offers a very smooth atmosphere and it’s located on the boardwalk so we still have waterfront view. This hotel is one of the best.…

Stayed two nights in early December. The room we had was recently renovated and had a fantastic view of the harbour. Room was quite large and everything worked with good temperature control. The hallways seemed to be unheated and were cold. Parking is a hassle, it's across the street in an old mall and it's expensive. I would stay here again, but only if I managed to find a really good deal or had to be downtown.

I would say Hilton SJ is a work in progress but well worth the wait. I had originally reviewed this hotel a few months ago, as I felt the rooms needed a good updating. It appears that is being done because our room was perfect. I removed the old review and will keep this one active. Was a business trip - we were there for one night. Used the app to check-in and used the app to unlock room door. Room was clean - had all the amenities we needed - ate at the breakfast in the morning - all was perfect.

There was black mould growing around the tub, lights were burned out, and the room was too hot. Maintenance couldn't fix the air conditioning or help with the heat problem and even commented the room was too hot to sleep in. The Hotel food was appalling. We had a great server for our meals but even her upbeat personality couldn't compensate for the poor quality food.

The hotel’s address not accurate for GPS search. Upon arrival, checkin was delayed by almost an hour. Wifi only accessible by payment or joining rewards program. When unsuccessful in trying to join rewards program, the front desk then gave a code. Fridge was leaking and floor of unit housing it was delaminated. Kleenex box on bathroom counter inside metal container was soaking wet. Obviously the room was not properly cleaned. The hair dryer was absent from its bag in bathroom. No extra bathroom tissue was provided.. There was a hole in the material of one headboard. The pole lamp didn’t have a working bulb. The carpet and furnishings were old and worn. A detailed list of issues was given to the front desk before departure and the manager was left a message but there has been no response to date.…

We stayed one night on our way to PEI. On the plus side, it had a great view of the harbour and a boardwalk to enjoy a morning walk. On the negative side, I didn’t find the parking options very clear. They is a 3rd party parking garage or an offsite city parking lot a block down the road. The front desk staff didn’t seem to know how to help. Our room had a significant pet urine smell If we travelled back to Saint John, I would check out other places.

Super spacious rooms! The beds were beyond comfy! The view from our room right over the St. John harbour! New bathrooms. Everything was really really clean! Fun pool! Staff was also really nice. Great breakfast!
