My stay was fine. I am not sure if I would rate this a five. The inn and rooms are clean and comfortable but the decor is 80's wallpaper borders and quite dark. Updated a bit with brighter colours this would be a five for sure, it is in need of some paint and decluttering. The garden is lovely but again the patio outfront is broken and filled with weeds and needs to be cleaned up and repaired. We were told if we wanted to sit outside we could, but would have to get the chairs out of the shed ourselves...so we did... with the wheelbarrow.I enjoyed my stay , the food is homemade as mentioned however our meal came out with cold vegetables and the service was a little odd with us having to hand our plates down the table and the tableware was forgotten until we asked for it. I am all for informality but at 250.00 night per person I expected a little more. Breakfast was served on our schedule which was very nice , we had french toast ,fruit, coffee and juice. It was ok...eggs were as cold as the vegies the night before. Despite that, we were left to our own devices and made as much noise as we pleased. Rooms are clean and spacious with two comfortable queen beds and nice big windows, I believe each one has a private bath. It is so quiet be prepared to sleep in. There is an onsite spa that we took advantage of offering massage, facials and pedicures so that was lovely, We had full use of the library which was also a spacious room with tons of reading material and movies to watch. Location is pretty on the headpond and very easy to find. I would stay here again, the owner is very accomodating and the location is wonderful for a peaceful weekend.

We had a great weekend at Inn On The Pond. The owner, Donna, was engaging and knowledgable about the region. The food was wonderful. The Inn is spacious, yet cozy. We look forward to our next visit and bringing friends.

Visited this great inn and had to write about it as it was a wonderful experience. Tucked away among the trees is this gem of a spa, retreat and centre. Offering great accommodation, with a severice next to none accompanied with meals perfectly crafted by non other tan the owner herself. Located close to many activities such as golf, swimming, skiing, mactquac park etc. On the pond offers outdoor activities such as kayaking, cycling etc. It also caters for business events. Turn back the time and enjoy a peace of relaxation... You have earned it!

Donna is a gracious InnKeeper. On the Pond is a rare gem. The Inn is spotless and charming. This is a unique and special place to stay. The pond, garden and woods are gorgeous. The food is great and Donna is very willing to accommodate special dietary needs. We also appreciated that Donna was quite clear that we could choose our meals to be at any time we desired. (We love sleeping in and it was great to be able to have breakfast late but also have a great breakfast the morning we had to catch an early flight.) We had Donna make us a great dinner one night too. I'm a vegetarian and my husband loves meat. My husband offered to eat vegetarian, but Donna insisted on making us two separate dishes. She is incredibly flexible and accommodating. The beds were extremely comfortable and the pillows and bedding were top notch. We both enjoyed spa treatments in the downstairs spa as well. There is a lovely dining room, a beautiful library/den and a fantastic garden. There is a wonderful little beach and marina about a block away. They have a nice ice cream and crepe stand there. The Inn is very near a great golf course (which also has a fantastic restaurant with a very nice owner) and close to a ski area. (We didn't go there since it was summer.) The Inn is a 15 minute scenic drive to historic Fredericton. We went for our Anniversary. But I would also go back with my whole family. It is also a great place for a retreat (working or relaxing), girl's getaway, guy's golf weekend, ski vacation, or just about any excuse I could find to stay there again!

The location of this lodge is absolutely lovely. It is located along the Saint-John river and the property is large. You can built a fire along side the river and enjoy the beautiful scenery. It is quiet and peaceful. Inside of the lodge, it is a little dark however, but it is spacious. The rooms are clean and confortable, but, then again, a little dark. My shower curtain was dark green and I could barely see in the shower. The best part of my experience at the On the Pond Lodge is the food!!!! It is home cooked. We had delicious muffins and coffee squares for our snacks, just out of the oven. The meals were simple but excellent. It is well worth the trip just for the food. The owner take great pride of her lodge and she is the one providing the service with the help of another person.
