Detailed Reviews
The Pandemic Restrictions were hindering the amount of quality of Service that could've been provided.
Due to those restrictions I had to do most of the Clean up and maintenance of the suite of myself during my stay and I felt for the amount I was charged for the stay it was little overpriced. The Room was Clean the Bathroom Shower was excellent and over all I had a good say but those pesky pandemic restrictions were a major pain.

Very nice hotel. Clean and spacious with a Keurig and really good coffee. The restaurant is excellent! They have sourdough bread and homemade jam. The coffee is high quality too. The only drawbacks for me personally - I prefer the option of more lighting in the main area and I can't handle high pitched buzzing sounds. The houseman came up to the room and unplugged the offending fridge. Overall though, very good. Excellent service.

I was in the Hotel alone for over 2 weeks while my husband was in St Boniface Hospital. I found the room very clean when I arrived and I was able to maintain that with distance help from the staff. Due to Covid and code red in the city they did everything they could to make sure I had everything I needed to make me comfortable The fridge and microwave (requested) were very helpful to have in the room. I felt secure while in the hotel. The food was excellent and well served. There wifi was strong so I was able to stay in touch with family and Drs etc. due to the hospital being closed to visitors I would definitely recommend and stay here again.

New Restaurant at Norwood Hotel is really something! Atmosphere is rustic yet elegant they really revamped an old, tired, dark area to look modern. Our waiter Richard was very professional attentive and informative. He told us about the other rooms that could be rented for parties or group get-togethers all the areas seem very nicely decorated and welcoming. Would gladly stay at the hotel with the easy access to downtown and these new restaurant areas.

We have stayed at the Norwood before and have always been satisfied. When booking the room the employee was very accommodating. My husband had to have surgery at St. Boniface and the Norwood is nice and close. We were unhappy with a few things this time around though; heating - the halls and room were very hot, I had no hot water to shower in the morning and the handle was loose and at different times throughout the evening we could smell Cannabis coming from the hall or another room. We did mention our disappointment of the above items on check out and were told that they would look into the matter and thanked us for bringing it to there attention.

We have stayed at the Norwood for 3 years for the Festival. The remodeled rooms are amazing. It is best to stay on the parking lot side as the street traffic gets at little loud. The only negative was the meal at the Wood was amazing Valentines evening, but we ate there again Sunday night and they were out of Fish and Chips which is understandable after a holiday weekend. The True Canadian Burger was so salty we said something to our server and returned it. Also the Campfire Cauliflower was so spicy it was not edible. We just gave up and paid the bill and left. Disappointing.

Services were limited due to the COVID-19 shutdown. The room was comfortable, very clean and nicely decorated. I like the fact that unnecessary items were removed for easier cleaning. I think this should continue past the pandemic as it makes the room more spacious and certainly cleaner. And leaves the fridge available for the user, free of the sale items that just get in the way. My reason for choosing to stay here is the proximity to St. Boniface Hospital. I could leave my vehicle at the hotel and walk to my appointments. It's also in a great area for city walking.

We have stayed here a few times over the years, but booked in here because of a special price offer promo. The rooms are certainly acceptable, but no amenities such as pool, spa etc. The restaurant that used to be open early 7:00 a.m. for breakfast, is now not open till 9:00 a.m. for brunch. And, parking is now $12/day as opposed to being free which it was. Day parking off the street is posted at $9.00.

I had a problem booking over the phone, I couldn't get a hold of a person to do my booking. I booked a room when I arrived in Winnipeg and went to the front desk. Because of the pandemic, there was no service to the room, when we stayed on for a second night, and there was no beverage room or restaurant facilities available. But overall the stay was very enjoyable, although dining at McDonalds drive thru kind of sucked.

No gym . No pool. No restaurant open! No nothing! Place was a rip-off big time. I will never stay there again. Noise from all the people from the reserves who had lost power from a storm and we’re staying there was incredible! Will never go back!!
No as far as I know there are no jacuzzi rooms.
