I have stayed at a number of awful hotels and dives around the world, but this has to top the list for worst hotel experience. For those from out of town this is in a rough part of town. Like a fool I paid before I checked the room. Upon entering the room it reeked, with old uncomfortable perma stains....

Ended up staying here because I have had a great experience at other thriftlodges. I couldn't have been more wrong. The air conditioner barely worked on a day where it was 31 degrees outside, the bathroom was grungy and antiquated, and I found multiple longer hairs in my bed. Not to mention the walls/door was paper thin. Woke up to...

The location and the condition of the Thiftlodge are not wonderful. However, the waterpark, pool and spa made up for that because it was very hot. It was a one night stop and the rate was reasonable.

Thank you for reviewing us. Our location is convenient for a lot of guests, and the neighborhood is quiet and safe. Our indoor water park is a nice surprise for most new arrivals. Have a wonderful day.

Their idea of an accessible room is a low toilet and one bar in the bathtub. I asked for a shower chair, it was delivered in disassembled and still in the box! Stairs everywhere and no elevator. How are they allowed to do that? I had dinner in the restaurant, it was edible, service was good.

Thank you for your review. We are sympathetic to your situation, yet we have not promoted a fully equipped accessible room, only a room accessible by wheelchair. Perhaps if certain equipment is crucial to the comfort or ease of your stay, you might want to call the hotel you are going to stay and ask some questions. Thank you and...
