I had made a reservation for May 2019 in March, but something came up and I wanted to cancel. The hotel absolutely refused, so I changed one date instead. When I arrived, there were people standing right outside the hotel smoking, hanging out and loitering. The sidewalk was

I've read lots of reviews, i wouldn't agree with, it is old and there are things that are really worn out but this is a cosey place, the people that work there are friendly and helpfull, the lady that cleans the rooms was allways there for a friendly chat and a smile, as were

Dear erwinhen, Thank you for taking the time to review our property. We appreciate you taking the time to review our property in such detail! Glad to hear the staff treated you so well! We take great pride in our team! You are correct, we are an older hotel but we are doing our best to freshen up the entire property to ensure that we don't look our age! We think we look good for 105, but we would love to look great! Thanks again,

The hotel is old and it shows. For the price, ok. It does have a few very nice areas, the restaurant being one. The sinks don't drain terribly well, windows aren't very well insulated, and paint is flaking at places. However, this is compensated by the extremely friendly and

Dear M S, Thank you for taking the time to review our Historic hotel. We appreciate the feedback provided and we will pass this on the our maintenance team to determine the reasoning for the drain not working properly. Painting is definitely something that we are improving on. We currently have a full time painter and he is making his way through the building from top to bottom. We apologize that your room has not been freshened up yet. We are very proud of our team of professionals. We very much appreciate the kind words and will be sure to let them know! With warmest Regards,

Overall a historic hotel with history. It has character and charm but we found the staff don’t seem to care much. There are couches in the lobby that seem to attract street people and the staff doesn’t care if people hang out the lobby all day. I think they need to get rid of

Dear Justa G, Thank you for taking the time to review our property. We will be sure to share your feedback with our entire team to ensure that we can improve on what sounds like some areas of opportunity! We do have some long term guests with us that do frequent the lobby from time to time and you are correct, they love the new leather sofas! However if they are guests in the hotel, they are more than welcome to visit the common areas during the course of their visit. Our security team does monitor who is in the lobby and ensures that any patron that is not identified by our guest services professionals, presents their identification to ensure that they are not loitering. We very much appreciate your feedback. If you have the chance to stay with us again, please feel free to reach out to me directly.

Got invited to attend a dinner function at Winnipeg Marlborough Hotel last night on the 8th floor. Once arrived I was intimidated by a few people hanging around outside the hotel front door, and not sure they were the guests of the hotel, or they were panhandlers or they were

Dear GS L, Thank you for taking the time to review our Historic property. We appreciate all the feedback we can get so we can pass this information on to Management. Marlborough Hall is a beautiful 105 year old room. With that comes it's challenges of plaster walls and dated technology. I will be sure to pass this in formation on to our maintenance team for better planning of larger scale projects of such. It's disappointing to hear that the glass-wear was not cleaned properly. I will be sure to pass this on to our Banquet set up crew. It's also disheartening to hear that your steak was not to your liking. Unfortunately, the event you attended had a dinner time slotted for 30 minutes prior and with that all the food sat in warmers upstairs waiting to be plated as soon as the presentations and voting was concluded. The beef was cooked Medium but continues to cook in the 160 degree warming cart. Once a dinner time runs late due to the program over running, beef quality is the first to be affected. We really do apologize for this. Thank you again for reaching out to us!
