My sister had her wedding reception here last month and everything about our stay was amazing! The staff were very attentive and awesome at making sure we had everything we needed while following strict Covid protocols that made us feel safe while celebrating this special occasion. Top notch experience and would definitely stay again! Would recommend! 😊

My stay at the Winnipeg Fairmont was wonderful. The staff were so kind and accommodating. The location was perfect, we were within walking distance to the Forks and The Museums of Human Rights as well as the University of Winnipeg where my daughter attends. The staff went above and beyond to look after us, especially Dawn and May. I am looking forward to coming back again soon.

Thank you not only entrusting us as your home away from home, but for taking the time to let others know about your experience. We were delighted to see that you had such an enjoyable stay on your recent visit, and that you were able to experience our wonderful city right from our own front doors. It is always a pleasure to receive such positive feedback. We are indeed very fortunate to have such exceptional and talented ambassadors on our team, especially in Dawn and May, and we are delighted you were able to experience their signature service first hand - the fact that you took the time to mention them both by name speaks volumes. I will be sure to share your comments with our entire team as I know this feedback will serve as an encouragement to all of our staff as we strive to continuously improve the quality of our services and offerings, and it will also surely serve as a reminder that all of their passion and dedication does not go unnoticed. We look forward to welcoming you "home" whenever your travels bring you back to Winnipeg. Until then, stay safe and keep well. Kind regards, Kyla Stewart Guest Relations Manager

We stopped at Fairmont Winnipeg on our trip back to Victoria, BC. We were provided with a very clean and spacious King Bed Room. The Hotel has good COVID-19 protocols in place including a temperature check at Check-In. There was limited food service due to pandemic safety protocols. We ordered our food via room service. I ordered a “Pork Belly” burger platter which was very delicious! The meat was very tender and literally melted in your mouth. It came with your choice of side. But one thing I really remember was the great sleep in that king bed. We had been staying at other hotels, including ‘king beds’ (good for a romp or just making a Fort - 😉 ) but this mattress must have had a memory foam mattress (?). It was the best sleep we had on our cross-country trip. The service was excellent, the staff was courteous, and even the price was great. When visiting Winnipeg, we will definitely stay again. Brad

I am in the hospitality industry and I always consider it a treat and a splurge to stay at the Fairmont. I have had nothing but the best experiences and the most friendly staff. My husband and I have now been travelling for 4 days, across Canada. Today, after 11 hours we decided to treat ourselves to a night at the fairmont in Winnipeg. I called early this morning and made a reservation for us and our two dogs. The woman on the phone was very friendly. I made sure to call front desk and ask about parking as we have very expensive items in our Jeep. She assured us we would be able to park out front and use a bell cart. When we arrived, check in was smooth. They explained to us that we couldn’t park out front as there was no spots left but we could use a bell cart first. No problem. She then explained there is two parkades and we were to use the last one , our vehicle is very large, so it wouldn’t fit in the first one. After driving around the block to the parkade- it was closed. We then drove back around and no one could seem to offer us a solution. We asked the concierge and he then disappeared for 30 minutes. At which point, the front desk came over and told us to park in an abandoned parking lot next door. We used fast check out, due to Covid. I just received my Bill and they charged us for parking. What a joke.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. Our apologies for the delayed response - please do not think this detracts from what was shared in any way. Our guest feedback is imperative to our process of improving our service delivery and it allows us to identify where we are successful and where improvements can be made. In reading your comments, it is very clear that we did not meet your expectations nor fulfill our service promise during your recent stay. Please accept our most sincere apologies. We were disappointed to learn your stay was compromised by the accessibility of the adjacent parking garage, and our inability to offer you a viable solution. We can certainly appreciate your frustration and disappointment. We all take great pride in providing our guests with the highest standards of service, therefore we are very sorry to learn that we failed on this particular occasion. Please rest assured that these are not the service standards to which we attest and that your comments have been shared with our entire team as this feedback will serve as an encouragement to all of our staff as we strive to continuously improve the quality of our service and offerings, and ensure a similar situation not occur in the future. Though we cannot undo what has been done, should your time permit, may we please ask for you to reach out to us directly at winnipeg@fairmont.com so that we may make this right? Thank you in advance for your consideration. Kind regards, Kyla Stewart Guest Relations Manager

Upon arrival we were screened with questions and they took our temperature. They were being cautious because of COVID. We didn't have a problem with that and all was good. We proceeded to check in where we were told that since we were from Ontario, that amenities, such as, the pool were off limits to us. We were also asked to stay in our room and that if we wanted food, they could have it sent up to our room. Obviously we were not impressed. We were only staying one night so their insensitive request was going to cut into our sightseeing time of Winnipeg. If we weren't tired from our long drive then we would have looked for another hotel. The next morning we checked out 2 hours before checkout just so we could do some sightseeing before heading to our next destination. We visited a well known area of Winnipeg called, The Forks. It's a nice parkland by the river with shops and restaurants. We had a lovely breakfast at The Forks. If The Fairmont is so paranoid about having guests from Ontario then don't book them in. We booked our stay weeks in advance of our arrival. If we knew how paranoid they were about Ontario guests, then we would have gladly spent our money at another hotel. Winnipeg was just one stop on a long road trip over a period of 2 weeks. We stayed in an additional 5 hotels during our road trip and all of them treated their guests equally. The Fairmont Winnipeg, although a beautiful 4 star hotel, we did not feel welcomed there. Next time we're in Winnipeg, we'll be staying at another hotel who knows the importance of making all guests feel welcomed.

Thank you not only for entrusting us to be your home away from home while in our wonderful city, but for taking the time to leave your review. Though we were delighted to hear that you enjoyed your time at The Forks, we were disappointed to learn that you did not feel welcomed by our team during your short stay. We pride ourselves on our customer service, and we regret that we clearly missed our mark. At Fairmont Winnipeg, your health and safety, along with the well-being of our team are of paramount importance to us, even more so now given the current global pandemic . With stringent cleaning standards and operational protocols, our extensive #ALLStayWell measures allow you to book with confidence, and we regret that some of these new protocols were not shared with you when you booked your stay. As a means of explanation, and not to detract with what was shared, the Manitoba government declared a province-wide state of emergency under The Emergency Measures Act on March 20, 2020, to protect the health and safety of all Manitobans and reduce the spread of COVID-19. One of the orders under this act states that anyone arriving in Manitoba from Ontario is required to self-isolate for 14-days upon arrival to reduce the spread of COVID-19, and as hoteliers, it is our mandate to inform our guests of these new regulations. We can certainly appreciate your disappointment, but hope that should your travels bring you back our way once these orders have been lifted, that you will give us another opportunity to provide you with the complete experience you have come to expect from us. Until then, keep well, and stay safe. Kind regards, Kyla Stewart Guest Relations Manager
