Made my reservations to see the Polar Bears, and hopefully the northern lights, on January 14, 2015, 10 months before we were schedule to start our tour. So you would think that the management at the Churchill Motel would know that I was coming. Evidently not, because when arriving, I had to wait about 45 minutes to get into my... More

This Motel was clean and adequate for our visit. We had a slight problem regarding the shower, to which Terri contacted the owner John, who came promptly and replaced a part. Thankyou Terri. The room had a double bed, tv, coffee making facilities, shower/ bath, toilet. Our room was clean and cleaned each day and toiletries, towels replaced when required.... More

We stayed at this motel during a Natural Habitat polar bear tour. The room was basic, which for me means clean and quiet. This is not luxurious but we were there for the polar bear tour, not the room. The first night it was a little cold even though we turned up the heat but when we mentioned it the... More

I stayed in this motel for four nights during my polar trip to Churchill. This is a basic motel with clean room and comfortable bed. It provides fridge, coffee maker and TV in the room. The wifi is free, however, you get better signal at the reception area. The breakfast was basic but good. Note: It is central located and... More

I spent two nights in this motel July 2 and 3 when I was traveling with Rail Travel Tours from Winnipeg and I found my stay most uncomfortable. The room was alright with a refrigerator, coffee maker and coffee, nice toiletries in the bathroom but the ice machine wasn't working and the room was unbearably hot. It was more than... More

I stayed here during my trip to see the Northern Lights. The temperatures for 40 below freezing and the rooms were warm and toasty. We even had a blizzard during my time there and the heat, power, and WiFi ran uninterrupted. What more could you ask for??? The place is not luxurious, but the owner John is very friendly and... Churchill is an out of the way location. Most travelers are going to see polar bears, the northern lights or beluga whales. I was not sure what to expect but was very pleased with the Churchill Motel (also called Churchill Hotel). The room was clean and comfortable and included free wifi and cable tv. The bed was quite comfortable. The... More

Stayed here for three nights in early July. I was originally booked in the Bear Country Inn (BCI) but because the train was not running and there were very few tourists in town the BCI was closed and I was switched to the Churchill Motel owned by the same owner. John Jr. ( the owner) was a most accommodating host.... More
