With over 400 camp sites, Oak Lake Resort, in the Virden Manitoba area, is one of the best managed campgrounds we have had the pleasure to stay at. Even with the large number of sites, it is a very quiet campground with plenty of trees surrounding the individual sites. Deer can sometimes be observed wandering through the sites. The maintenance...

Located on Hwy 254 about 5 miles from the Trans-Canada, with the exception of about 6 sites this is entirely a seasonal resort. However, almost all are fairly new, well maintained and the sites well kept. The majority of the sites are in the forest, with plenty shade from the tall trees. All sites are back-in and they only have...

My husband, son, grandson and I camped here this summer a number of times. We loved it. Campground is well maintained and full service for camping trailers. People working there were always very friendly and helpful. Many conveniences available: swimming pools, mini golf, large grassy area for playing with playground, wood, near beach and park areas, convenient store and snack/ice...

Camped at Oak Lake on the Labour day weekend. We were situated on Sixth street. The campsites were large enough for our Rv with 3slides. There were lots of large trees but not many small trees between campsites. The campsites are not very private but in this area they are a nice distance apart. It was a fully serviced site...

Our son and family took their travel trailer and my husband and I rented cabin # 10. We spent our first day at Fair Oaks Farm and two days at the campground. We loved the swimming lake. It is very clean, for a lake, and the water inflatables were so much fun -even for grandpa! The whole campground is very...

We rented a park model for 3 nights in August. It had 1 bedroom and a pull out couch which worked well for our family. It was nice to have a full kitchen to cook meals in as well as a fire pit outside to roast marshmallows. The trailer was clean and well stocked with dishes and supplies. There were...

True to its name, this campground is heavily treed with oaks. Sites are side by side with little privacy but great for camping with a group. Book early though as most of the campground appear to be seasonal rentals. There are some cottages or campers for rent too. I heard they were nice. There is a small beach when the...

i am a member at an exclusive course in vancouver. this course totally rivals my own. the greens were true and were in excellent shape. the fairways were in perfect shape. a wonderful experience overall. Afternoon winds make the course extra challenging. yhis course in B.C. would cost 2 to 3 times more to play. You manitobans are very lucky...

This was our second and last camping/golfing trip to Oak Island. Again the golfing was great; # 1. The camping, however, was spoiled for us and so we don't think we'll be going back. Because of all the beautiful oak trees there is no grass in the campground so when it rains, it's very muddy, making it impossible to keep...

very nice campground with its full grown trees that provide shade. BUT what we didn't enjoy was how close the campers are to one another. You have NO privacy. They could be spaced a bit further apart. Most campers in large 5th wheel campers. You have to be so careful how you park your vehicle so that no one scratches...
