True luxury is not simply top-level beds and bedding, spacious and gracious surroundings and a discreet, considerate hostess, it is also peace and quiet... Stretched out in a supremely comfortable lounge chair under a grape arbor just off the downstairs bedroom, I could hear nothing but the whir of a humming-bird and the distant hoot of a train whistle. Sitting... More

Our family enjoyed 1 week at the beautiful, clean, safe and well equipped home called Dancing Firs. Our unit had a living room (with pull out couch) kitchen and bathroom upstairs and a King, single and queen bed with bathroom downstairs. It was the little things that made it perfect, like the most amazing coffee maker that was well enjoyed,... More

We arrived to be greeted by the owner Mary with her little white dog,and shown to our apartment, around the multi level garden with stunning views across the bay. The apartment was spotless and everything we needed to relax for a few days before setting out across BC to visit family. Very comfortable and welcoming, and Mary is a perfect... More

We had a warm welcome from Mary and soon settled into the suite at the rear of the house. Bath, kitchen, organic stocked fridge, living room, bedroom and screened seating area outside. A short walk through Mary's amazing multi levelled garden to the sea via the beautiful firs. Great to watch the sunset and the sea otters playing around. Steep... More

Just got back from a two night stay with my family of 5. Kids ages 21-15. This was part of our 5 day trip to Canada, first part being in Vancouver. This was my favorite part of the trip. The Bay View unit we stayed in was beautifully decorated & absolutely SPOTLESS. The owner, Mary was so welcoming to our... More

It was an absolute pleasure staying at the B&B. We stayed in the courtyard suite, which was a luxury home away from home environment! Mary was courteous, caring, and an inspirational person to have met and we look forward to many more stays! Warm regards, Rachel & Shae Legare

Dancing Firs is a refuge from the stress of a hurried and noisy world. The backyard is like a walk through the woods culminating with shoreline and lapping waves from the bay. Spectacular views of the bay and coastline of the US in the distance. The rooms are very, comfy, a restful stay is guaranteed!

The accommodations were beautiful. It was very clean! It was quiet. We were welcomed by the owner, Mary, as if we were her family members. She understood my various health limitations and our stay turned out to be a healing one. When we return we will definitely stay with Mary and we will again enjoy her amazing healthy breakfasts. My two grandsons and I stayed at this bed and breakfast in March 2015. The setting is spectacular, overlooking the Pacific Ocean, and the rooms were more than what is normally offered in B&B establishments. There was an abundance of reading material, a fully equipped kitchen for those who might be staying for several days, and a very comfortable king-sized... More
