Everything about our stay was perfect! The property is beautiful and exactly what you would expect from Four Seasons. But the staff takes it to a whole other level. So kind and helpful. I only wish we could have stayed longer but we will be back!

Stayed at pan pacific and other hotels in the area and their service was just as good if not better. Pay a premium to stay at a premium location, and this did not fit the bill. Issues with television and restaurant in hotel. Overpriced for what you receive. Not as close to the village as other hotels, although they have a shuttle service that runs regularly.

The Four Seasons Whistler was top notch for myself, partner and 2 children ages 9 and 12 years old from Vancouver, BC. The pool side experience was amazing in terms of service. The pool itself is stunning and you get your own lounge chair. My one bedroom suite was well furnished, spacious and comfortable. The room service has an extensive menu and the kids had so much fun ordering on it. The fitness center had new machines with virtual experience. I also took a yoga class one morning and did mountain biking daily. The valets are excellent with easy and safe bike storage. After my pedicure, I went in the relaxation room for 30 minutes. I left the resort well rested, fit, tan, manicured and feeling amazing!

Arrived to the Four Seasons mid-afternoon. Valet service was attentive. We arrived to the front desk; we were offered warm apple cider while we waited and checked in. After we checked in, the front desk agent walked us towards the elevator that would lead us to our room. One problem: she never told us our room number, nor did she have our room keys. She was apologetic and went back to retrieve the keys. We were pointed towards our room and the elevators leading to it. For a family of three, opted for a deluxe executive suite. Room was well-appointed, clean, and nicely understated for decor. The movie night snacks we ordered pre-arrival were waiting for us, beverages on ice and snack foods on the table. Our suite faced Blackcomb Way and the front entrance, which wasn’t bad but not great for a view. Fortunately it wasn’t too loud. Our child slept on the foldout sofa, which she said was quite comfortable for a pullout sleeper. The king-sized bed was exceptionally comfortable. The bathrooms were well-appointed and spacious. One thing I noticed this Four Seasons was lacking compared to other hotels in winter-centric areas of Canada: the lack of heated floors and towel racks in the bathrooms. Deal breaker? No—but it does stand out as something missing when walking on the floors when there is still snow flying outside. The resort grounds were lovely. S’Mores bar in the afternoon was a welcome treat, as was the complimentary hot chocolate. The heated pool was especially lovely while the snow was still falling; my child and I enjoyed swimming amongst the snowflakes and finding our way to the hot tubs. Warmed towels are provided at the pool; check in at the spa for a locker to keep your belongings dry and warm. Via the Four Seasons app pre-arrival, I had reserved dinner for three at Sidecut on the evening of our arrival. Not only could they not find our reservation, but then we could not be accommodated. Look, I get things happen—but I felt compelled to show them the conversation I had with the concierge because they didn’t seem like they believed me when I said we had a reservation. Finally they accepted their error—but this is where the service took a left turn. The manager arrived (after quite some time) and said the chef at Sidecut said we could order off the menu and eat at the Tavern. Ok, I would like to fairly ask if that’s truly a Four Seasons-level service recovery. Part of reserving at the Steakhouse was for the entire experience, not just the food. I did not accept that offer, and explained this reasoning. They were able to provide a reservation for the next night at Sidecut, and we opted to eat at the Braidwood Tavern. My hope is that the manager realized how displeased I was with that first option, because later she sent over complimentary dessert that she recommended (and it was a good recommendation). They also provided our first round of drinks with our meal as agood-faith gesture for the SNAFU. While it ultimately worked itself out, given the front desk issues before and now the issues at dinner I was a little surprised at the quality of service at this Four Seasons. The manager took care of us the next night as well, and no issues with meeting our new reservation at Sidecut. The breakfast buffet was hearty and plentiful, included with our rate. Definitely enough to hold over until dinner, and a LOT of great choices. The spa was fantastic. I opted for the signature maple scrub experience, and Cynthia cultivated magnificently relaxing experience. The facilities are great, including the fitness center: clean, well-attended by staff, and the spa facilities calming and relaxing. Resort is within walking distance of Whistler village. Overall a good stay, with some hiccups, but at next visit may try the Fairmont.

The most beautiful hotel in Whistler/Blackcomb. I can not fault this hotel. The upgraded rooms, facilities and staff are 5 star ⭐️ The buffet breakfast was one of the best we have experienced. It was late in the season and unfortunately the buffet wasn’t available for everyday of our stay so ensure you check this if staying in April. I hope we get the opportunity to stay at this hotel again.

Front desk staff were pretty clueless from check-in to departure. I had two incidental holds placed on my card erroneously (with evidence of this on my credit card app) and was talked to as though I stupid when I raised this (the staff member then decided to explain to me what an “incidental” was like I never stayed in a hotel before?!). Bad departure experience too – staff essentially made us feel bad for requesting to use the free shuttle, despite other guests wanting to use it at the same time as me. Made very clear to us that they were going out of their way to make a “one time exception”. Impossible to reach the restaurant to make dinner reservations using the hotel phone (and was ignored via the App’s chat function). Was on hold for 10 mins to try and get a table either at the bar or Sidecut. Shame as I’ve previously had good experiences with other Four Seasons hotels.

I will start this review by saying that our family loves this hotel, and have stayed here multiple times over the last 10 years. We stayed again for our ski trip at the end of March 2023, and whilst we enjoyed our time, there were a few issues this trip that were surprisingly bad for a Four Seasons Hotel. In the end I think the issues primarily came down to too many poorly trained staff, and an inability to cope when things were busy at the hotel. The rooms here are generally great, very comfortable, spacious and pretty much on par with what you would expect from the Four Seasons brand. Housekeeping was mostly very good, apart from not servicing our room until after 4pm one day, then doing turn down service 45 minutes later - below expectations there. I found that once I had requested specific times for house keeping they were very good at meeting the request for the remainder of our stay. Room rates have ramped up significantly over the past 10 years, and are now top dollar with a product that sometimes falls short of the high expectation the price point sets. Negatives in the room are poor pressure in the faucets, although the shower is okay. Service standards at the hotel are currently a big issue in our opinion, and represent a continued decline from previous years. This is the reason for the 3 star review on this occasion (I see we are not alone in this observation from reading the previous reviews over the last few months). Breakfast was a mess 3 out of 5 days of our trip. It was chaotic and there were significant waits to be seated. The buffet frequently ran out of items that took quite some time to be replenished (if at all - one day there no standard orange juice available from 9am onwards, a first for me at a luxury hotel). We had two very poor servers, two average servers and one very good server at breakfast during our trip, so it seemed to be not limited to just one bad experience. Requests for simple things like cutlery went unmet, coffees never arrived, plates remained at the table for over 45mins whilst we had to stack them up. Two never introduced themselves to the table at all, rather simply announcing 'Is there anything I can get you' over 20 minutes into our breakfast (thankfully there is a coffee machine at the buffet so we were able to look after ourselves for that). Honestly it was a joke - far worse than you'd get at a budget hotel chain, and far worse than pretty much any other restaurant or hotel I can think of. If I had brought friends or family here it would have been really embarrassing. On a positive note, the selection (although not the quality) of the breakfast buffet has improved since the previous couple of years, which is a good step. The coffee they serve remains really bad - many reviews on Tripadvisor mention the same thing - I hope the hotel pays attention! Service around the pool was pretty poor this time as well. In previous years the servers have proactively come around offering menus and taking drink orders, as well as clearing towels and offering fresh towels. This time the only way to get a drink was to walk to the pool-bar and wait for somebody to appear (the staff were often out back, gone to get food or restocking towels or something). I mean, that's all totally fine, but not a luxury experience and noticeably because it used to be better. One day it took 40 mins for my drink to arrive after I'd ordered it, which is too long and we were getting ready to leave by then. Finished drinks were seldom cleared and sat around the hot tubs for well over an hour at a time. I think it must be down to staff training and simply being overwhelmed. One day the pool area was closed completely, without prior warning to guests. This wasn't for an emergency maintenance issue, which would have been an understandable event. This was for the delivery of a new pool bar hut. Such scheduled construction closures should be notified to guests in advance of the stay without exception, as the pool is a significant material reason to stay at this hotel. The peak ski season (along with the peak hotel rates) has only two weeks to go, so I would have thought the timing of a pool closure could have been far better. The ski concierge is a great service, but it was totally overrun a few times during our stay. Gone was the usual greeting at the door, shown to a seat, offers to grab your ski-gear and offers to help with boots etc. This time it was a free for all - queuing at the counter to get ski baskets, struggling to find somebody to help with storing belongings, skis sometimes not being left out front, one set misplaced. A very different impression from previous years. There seemed to plenty of staff there, just no organisation, so again I suspect this is down to training. I should say that on 2 days we did receive the usual good service at ski concierge, which was a nice change. The hotel now charges a resort fee, which has rapidly increased since introduction and is now $55/night. This is for all the things that were already included anyway on previous years. Resort fees must be the worst cash grab trend in the hotel industry, and it is such a shame this hotel has now stooped to the same thing. Room rates are up significantly at the same time. What you are left with is significantly more money for less product. A fairly common post-Covid trend, but particularly striking at this resort. Resort fee was charged even when the pool was closed. Fair? The lifts at the hotel main building are awful. It often took 5-10 minutes to get a lift as they were packed out, and the stairs are not readily accessible without taking a back corridor route. All of the guests looked (and sounded) really frustrated with the lift situation. The good thing about most of these criticisms is that they can be fixed with better staff training rather than the current amateur hour approach that falls way short of a Four Seasons hotel. We do plan to return here as there really are many great things about the hotel, and will just hope that this year was an exception/low point.
