We stayed in the 2 bedroom suite for 3 nights and all i can say is WOW . Super impressed by the size and cleanliness of the suite .Big and comfy king size beds and spacious bedrooms. Huge windows in the main living area and huge kitchen . lovely heated pool and hot tub were a bonus . Steps and i mean steps from the Whistler Village and all it has to offer . We didnt take the car out of the parking garage at all the time we were there .We would definitely stay here again .
Loved my stay here for a short business trip to Whistler . Yes I could have stayed at the Fairmont for $1000 per night but I preferred to stay at a reasonably price , clean hotel. The Avaa has everything going for it : a great location , parking , swimming pool, Tesla charging station, very comfortable bed, super clean rooms. I also liked the Nespresso machine in the lobby. Loved it!
Stayed in a Deluxe King Room which was actually very big but not a lot in it. There was a bed, small area for kettle/fridge etc, 2 random chairs and a chest of drawers and that was about it. So it was bit lacking with no desk or table even though it had the room. The bathroom in comparison was tiny but ok. Check-in is really late at 4pm and we arrived at 3pm and we couldn't check-in. You also pay about $20 for parking which is expensive and the car park is terrible - don't know what they spend the fee on! The location is pretty good though, easy walking distance to main area but little out of it which keeps it quiet. Overall the hotel is fine and we were only there for 1 night stopover but don't expect anything amazing and maybe consider somewhere else for longer stays.
This is a great base for a ski-trip. It’s easy walking distance from the main lifts and town centre, and has free underground parking and ski storage. The rooms are large and modern, and the hot-tub is a social gathering point in the early evening. We will certainly aim to stay her again next time.
Location: good Service: ok Hotel parking: needs better signage for directions to elevators Cleanliness/maintenance: I have no doubt this hotel was great when it first opened but it looks like nothing has been done in terms of maintenance and cleaning since it opened. The bed linen didn't even fully go over the mattress it was only wrapped half way around and as such you were sleeping on a wrinkled mess. The window barely closed as the latch is loose and you couldn't pull it back closed to lock. The walls were thing and I could easily hear a crying child next door. There are multiple drilling holes on the window itself from them moving the latch upwards over the years. There are holes in the ceiling from curtain rod being removed/moved. This is sketchy as there are so many cases of hidden cameras being found in hotel rooms. A simple mudding and paint touch up would have fixed this. Being as we are still in an era of covid, we did some quick lysol wipes around the room when we entered (phone, remote, handles, tables, etc) our wipes came out dirty. The dust and dirt in and around corners, tv, bathroom, the hairdryer was just absolutely disgusting. The fan in the washroom, ac unit could use a good cleaning. I would not give this hotel any thing more than a 2 star rating. I've stayed in hotels ranging from 2 to 5 stars and my expectations when I go to a 3.5 star hotel is a lot higher than what you get here. I would not stay here again.…
The hotel is a good location just out of the main bustle of Whistler but close enough. The hotel has a good spa and small pool. The rooms are adequate but doesn’t have much storage. It could do with some love and attention as it feels a little run down. The housekeeping was very mixed we were warned about Covid light cleaning but two days had nothing at all, no clean glasses or mugs. When we asked for them the cleaner rinsed them in our sink using the gloves she has just cleaned the floor with which was not ideal. It was very noisy you can hear everything, one night there was hoovering at 9.30pm. It’s a fine, inexpensive hotel but with some points to improve.
If you plan on having 2 hours sleep per night this is the place for you. You can hear eveything your neighbour's are talking about. Our Neighbour's on both sides went to bed at 6am. Good location, but if you don't value sleep then you will be fine.
The hotel is in a perfect location being a short walk to all the shopping and dinning. Whistler is expensive overall but this hotel seemed very average for the price. Rooms were clean but just nothing unique or extra. They did let us park the morning before we checked in which was a nice bonus.
This hotel is great and is a few minutes away from the gondolas and village center. We chose this hotel based on availability and price and all I can say is that we will probably stay here again. The hotel room was clean when we arrived and although some reviews claim that the space is limited, we found the room to be really big. The staff at the front desk was really helpful. Would recommend to anyone who wants to visit Whistler. They also have good quality products (shampoo/conditioner) from Malin + Goetz which you probably would find at a “high end” hotel. Our stay was great.
The room was big and clean. The decor was tasteful and the bathroom products were high quality. I had a partial view of the mountains. No complaints--it was a perfect location for a 3-night stay in Whistler. Service at the front-desk was exceptional. Tyler, in particular was gregarious and funny. But all staff members I interacted with were genuinely smiling and helpful. People have mentioned that you can hear hallway noises etc. That also happened at my hotel in Vancouver. I think it's part of the travelling experience, so I did not find it annoying.
