This was our first time staying here and will not be the last!! The hotel itself is really lovely and has great facilities inside/nearby. It's only an easy 10min walk to the chairlift area as well. The staff here are beyond lovely people - we dealt with Robbie for the

The Summit Lodge was well positioned, it is just away from the town centre so little noise and good restaurants and bars adjacent or close by. Its also less than a a 10 min walk to the main ski lifts, or via a regular shuttle run by the hotel. We stored our ski's and boots at

Hi joannemorgan16, I'm so glad you asked this questions as Whistler is a fantastic time to bring your whole family in the Christmas and New Year Season. Historically, Whistler holds a family-friendly, alcohol-free and ticketed NYE event. There is also the daily Whistler Holiday Experience which is an indoor playground of fun games that runs over the Christmas period at the Whistler Conference Centre. Additionally, Whistler also holds Family Après daily which involves outdoor entertainment after skiing. Additionally, some of my other favourite recommendations for families also include the outdoor skating rink at the Olympic Plaza, grabbing some complementary sleds from our Front desk to tobogganing nearby. There's a great fondue and raclette place across the hotel called Crepe Montagne, which makes for a very fun meal. Please feel free to call or request a call from the hotel for more recommendations, we would love to know how we can make your vacation more wonderful. As well, because the Christmas and New Year season is very busy, we highly recommend making any special reservations now, as restaurants are already booking out for the season. Lorraine :)

Hi Karen! Depending on where you would like to be picked up, Epic Rides provides a shuttle from Downtown Vancouver to Whistler Gondola Exchange for $35 round trip. This is the most economical option and has no washroom, wi-fi, and luggage is stored on the trailer in the back, Pacific Coach provides pick-up from YVR and will drop you off outside the hotel for $123.00 a round trip. Pacific Coach provides a washroom, wi-fi and luggage is stored in its undercarriage. Ridebooker is another option for a similar rate and service to Pacific Coach. Hope that helps! Lorraine

Hi Sandy A, Although all rooms are thoroughly deep cleaned after they have pets in, if your sister has an adverse reaction to dogs and is highly sensitive, Summit Lodge may not be the best property for your family. If she is not highly sensitive, she might be okay. Although Summit aims to allocate all dogs onto the second floor, sometimes guests forget to mention that they're checking in with a dog. As well, there are dogs in the back office and they can be found in some of the pubilc spaces. I recommend looking at Blackcomb Lodge and maybe the Hilton as I believe they do not allow pets. I hope that helps! :)

Any charge for spa and massage? Is it free? If not, how much?
There was a charge for the spa and massage. We did not use this service. A reservation is recommended.

Is there a washer/dryer in the room?
No, they have plenty of them on the second floor though.
