Ski break after city break (Vancouver). Excellent room/facilites. Fully equipped kitchen and bed upstairs on mezzanine level. Good massage at spa. Our room also included the ski valet in price. Guys meet you at bottom of slope so you don't have to carry skies back to the hotel. Unfortunately my husband had an accident on slopes and got concussion. The manager (Kirsten Robinson) was very helpful. Organised lifts to and from clinic and extended our check out time. Thank you.

Well where to begin!!! This was without a doubt, one of the best ever hotel stays and trips of our lives! As a couple in our 40's we have travelled a lot and love a good 5 star hotel stay so we have a lot to compare too as well, inc another Whistler/ Blackcomb hotel! The Westin was absolutely amazing from start to finish and we cannot fault it at all. IN fact when trying to think up 'any' issues, the only one I could muster was that the toilet tissue was too rough LOL. We checked in at 01:30am after 24 hours of travel, a bus crash and lost snowboard luggage only to be granted a free upgrade to the most amazing one bed corner aspect suite ever! It was so perfect! Bedroom - Huge king bed in the bedroom with a view across to the Hilton and towards Lake Alta. The mattress was one of the most comfortable I've slept on and it was high quality bedding and feather pillows. Huge windows but both lack out curtains and net curtains for privacy and a smaller TV in bedroom also. There is plenty storage inc drawers and a large wardrobe I must mention in the 1 bed suite, the living area has an additional chest of drawers and the hallway has a large storage cupboard perfect for boots, shoes, coats & snowboard bags etc too Bathroom- Large and spacious with separate bath and shower. The bath was so deep it was amazing. Be warned, the pressure is akin to Niagara falls and the bath fills in about 1.5 mins!!! The shower is a lovely large rainfall shower head and the water perfect! Complete with free high quality toiletries all replenished when needed Living area - WOW! Dual aspect windows, huge living space, dining table, drawers, 3 seater sofa bed, stunning fireplace and at least 55 inch + TV. TV has Netflix and YouTube built in so simply had to log in. The sofabed was so so comfortable to sit and lay on, that we've come home to buy a new sofa ourselves!!!! It was perfect!!!! Kitchen - Fully stocked and equipped with cooker, oven, microwave and all utensils and pans etc you would need. We even cooked a lovely steak dinner one evening and enjoyed a quiet night in just so we could say we used it all. Housekeeping - Could not have been better. They ask if you would like housekeeping or, take some resort credit instead. We went 3 separate days out of 11 without so had $60 credit and the other days our maids were fantastic, friendly, thorough and the rooms were always left spotless. Not one single complaint here at all!!! Facilities - I used the gym 2 x which was well equipped. Most people were only ever on Peloton so I had the weights all to myself. The indoor and outdoor hot tubs and pool were lovely! Perfect temps and so ice to chill outside in the snow after time on the slopes. I tended to try and get there before 3pm as thereafter was always quite busy . Nice way to chat to people though Staff - All lovely! Super helpful and accommodating. We requested a late check out and got to stay in the room until 2pm for a 4pm pick up which was really great and meant we were not left hanging around reception for hours on end and got to enjoy our last morning there. LOCATION- perfect!!!! I mean from the views from our windows to the 2 minute walk to the Gondola it was just perfect! We were able to leave our snowboards at CaniSki for free as part of our upgraded room as well which I think saved around $20 a day. There was also an option at the end of the slope to simply unstrap and leave your board with the Westin Concierge trolley and they wheeled them all back to storage for the night to leave us to hit the bars and shops :) We previously had a skin in/ out hotel in Blackbcomb which we absolutely loved and would stay again for sure, but the Westin hands down wins our vote and I think forever more, we will opt for this hotel now when returning! Thank you Westin for one of the most amazing holidays ever! We cannot wait to stay again

Overall is very good resort. Great customer service. I am giving 4 star because I requested 2 queen beds they gave me a king and a sofa. I ended up sleeping in the same bed with my friend. The mattress first night was bad do next day they apologized and changed it. Other then that everything was great. Coming from the skiing they were providing chocolate and sweets which i think was very nice. Room was with mountain view. Clean and great location.

The location on the mountain is the only 'advantage' to this hotel. The staff and management are unhelpful, slow (long lines for everything), not enough seating in on-site restaurants and the rooms are not well cleaned. Bring flip flops to walk on your floors!

Absolutely awful experience. Arrived at the hotel and ignored by bell hop. No welcome. No assistance with bags. Went to check in and told our room was being cleaned and would we like a different room. My wife accepted only to find we had been moved to a room with the head board of our bed against the elevator shaft - not kidding! Phoned down immediately (literally 5 minutes) and were told another group had already checked into the room that was supposedly being cleaned. Sweet lady at check in said the only solution they had was to send someone up with ear plugs - lol. $700 to sleep on the elevator and great con job by the front desk. Last time we are coming to this hotel. You should take your business elsewhere too.

Massage Injury at the Westin Resort & Spa Whistler Just before the end of my massage the RMT pulled my right shoulder up and back. I felt a sharp pain immediately. The pain has persisted and I have range of motion limitations. My Physio and doctor have diagnosed rotator cuff strain and tendinopathy. I continue to need Physio treatments. I have had many deep tissue massages. This is the first time I have been injured. I have spoken to the spa manager Carol English and the RMT about my injury. They have not offered remediation. I do not recommend having a massage at this establishment.

Oh boy, where do I even begin with this review of the Westin Resort in Whistler? I mean, who needs Disneyland when you can spend your vacation waiting in line for check-in like it's the hottest new ride in town? I mean, come on, guys, I didn't fly all the way to Whistler to spend my vacation in a queue. And then to make matters worse, my room wasn't even ready at the promised check-in time of 4 PM. I'm sorry, but I didn't spend all this time earning Bonvoy status just to be treated like a second-class citizen. And speaking of Bonvoy, forget about using the mobile check-in feature because the Westin Resort apparently lives in the Stone Age. Also, think you’ve earned late check-out with your loyalty status – not here! They wouldn’t even consider it. And if that's not enough excitement for you, just wait until you see your shabby chic room with its dated furniture and lack of attention to detail in cleaning. It's like a trip to a museum, except instead of ancient artifacts, you get to see furniture that looks like it's been around since the last Ice Age. Oh, and let's not forget to mention the bathroom in the so-called "suite" - it's so tiny, you'll feel like you're using a porta-potty at a music festival. So if you're looking for a spacious and luxurious bathroom experience, you might want to try a gas station instead. And if you thought the fun stops there, just wait until you try to cozy up next to the fireplace, only to find out that it's about as functional as a chocolate teapot. I guess the Westin Resort thinks that setting fire to guests' hopes and dreams is part of the Whistler experience. But don't worry, the Westin Resort has plenty of modern amenities too, like their $15 per day ski storage fee, because storing your skis in your room is forbidden and the ski police will arrest you. And forget about that slopeside ski valet you were dreaming of, because the Westin wants you to earn your turns by lugging your skis around like a pack mule. Who needs a ski vacation when you can have a full-body workout, am I right? But hey, if disappointment and frustration are your jam, then the Westin Resort in Whistler is the place for you! Just don't forget to bring your patience and a sense of humor, because you're going to need both. And if you're looking for a pleasant vacation experience, well, good luck with that.

Sure, the Resort could use some refreshing but because of its superb location, cheerful, helpful, and delightful staff (across the restaurant and front desk) we had the best time in Whistler. It was our first and only trip there for a 3-night weekend in February 2023. We filled up on a delicious breakfast buffet (included for Platinum Elite members) and crushed the mountain each day. Finished off with a soak in the hot tub and comfortable nights sleep. It's not perfect but it's just what we needed and would reccomend to friends.

To start with, the hotel is generally outdated, some would say run down, with terrible old fashioned carpets and furniture. The rooms are equally outdated and not well maintained. The bathroom in my so-called "suite" is tiny with one of these terrible 3-4foot long bathtubs and a fizzled out curtain. The matress was old and the bedding mediocre. Any food that I had in the hotel was not not very good. Not sure if it was catered or prepared in the hotel, but get some advice how improve quality The service was terrible. 1) Every day, I had to call house keeping to make up the room. One day, I called for that and went for a 2 hour session and the room was still not made up when I came back. I had to call again. In general the housekeeping was sloppy 2) even worse, the toilet was defective. Due to a little leak in the flopper, the toilet kept filling up every 5 min. That can happen, but I immediately alerted the hotel of the problem and it was ignored. I cost me a lot sleep. I called again on day 2, and still no response. On day 3 I gave up because I was about to leave and didn't want to bother any longer about this miserable place. This hotel completely destroyed my impression of Whistler. I was so happy to get out of there.

Excellent location and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Was upgraded to 1 bedroom suite which was greatly appreciated. Room was clean and tidy. However, room was a bit dated and quite clearly needs to be refurbished. Check- in was confirmed to be 16:00. Did not check in till 16:25 which was a nuisance after a long drive with young kid. Waiting around in lobby for room wasn’t fun. Would stay again… although a bit on the pricey side. Phil
