We had a magical stay at this beautiful spot - stayed for one night as we drove from Epernay to the Loire Valley. Maria is a kind, generous and terrific host. Our room was just lovely and the chateau so wonderfully looked after (the gardens even on a very wet day are very special). So worth a relaxing visit and... More

The rooms are spacious, clean and nicely furnished. The surrounding garden is beautiful. It is great value including continental breakfast. The host Maria is very friendly and most helpful. A definite recommendation to stay here when in the area.

This was our last place to stay during our trip to France. We arrived and found the chateau a beautiful house and had a lovely room that went straight out into the gardens. The bed was very comfortable and the shower very warm. We had driven a long way and would have liked to have a cup of coffee and... More

A hidden gem found it by chance, as said in previous reviews the front doesn't do it justice. The hotel is accessed via an unassuming gate on to a small cobbled parking area. The owner came out to give us a nice friendly welcome. The building is fantastic with a real sense of history and class with some lovely decorative... More

At first we were not sure what to expect as from the street the building looks unimposing but once you enter the grounds Wow it was beautiful. The manor has lovely gardens with a cute canal bisecting them. Our room, the yellow room on the ground floor overlooked the garden. The room was large, clean with crisp sheets and comfortable bed.... Lovely house and gardens. Excellent dinner (with fish, as we had requested in advance) and breakfast. We had booked the suite haute, which is huge and beautifully furnished. Great attention to detail. Very comfortable bed with exquisite cotton sheets. Not easy to find, though. The front of the house could do with a facelift - we were sure this could... More

This large town house is on the main road through Chateau-Renard and can be found behind a white gate about 400 yards east and south of the centre of town. You are being invited to stay by the French family whose home it is. One side of the house has guest rooms, the other side is private. Our bedroom and... More

We had the yellow bedroom. I recommend it: a lovely view on the garden, good matrass and antique furniture. The salon close to our bedroom presented the same level of luxury and harmony. We could enjoy it with an old spirit offered by the host after the dinner prepared by Maria, the hostess. I should have started by her because... More

We stayed here for two nights,in June 2011, our hosts were most accomodating , especially as we arrived late after a drive down from Paris airport.. The rooms were clean and comfortable in a home of great character, lovely gardens in which to walk, relax and soak up the atmosphere. Excellent breakfasts, fresh fruits and pastries and home made extras,we... More
