Our hosts, Celia and Bing, were welcoming and enthusiastic. Their only focus was our comfort and enjoyment. This beautiful old home is located just a very short walk from the waterfront, the Fairmont Empress, the Royal BC Museum, Government House, and more. Secure underground parking is included. Breakfasts were tasty. Other guests at the time included a couple from Australia... More

This is a lovely B&B within 1 block of the Royal BC Museum and the legislature building. Easy walking distance to town, yet very quiet. Bed was very comfortable, wifi worked well in the room, the place is immaculately clean, breakfasts are generous and varied, and the hosts a friendly. We would have stayed longer if they had the vacancy.... More

Our first stay at Robert Porter House B & B was arranged via internet booking. The wonderful location of this B&B makes it popular with visitors to Victoria (walking and short driving distance to the inner harbour, Coho Ferry, etc.). Our room (James Bay East) was above and beyond my expectations. Quiet, modern, convenient, our own outside entrance. The Robert... More

We stayed three nights at Robert Porter House and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The breakfasts were very good and kept us going most of the day. The room is set up well (if you're in the East room make sure you look in the closet to the left of the bed, that's where the fridge, microwave and coffeemaker are). The... More

Very friendly hosts; a beautiful, clean room, wonderfully decorated older house from the 19th century and extremely close to downtown Victoria. The meals were great!! Within walking distance to everything we wanted to see!! Parking was safe and secure next door and the host even carried our baggage up the stairs. Would stay again!

The rooms here are not luxurious or particularly "homey" but they are clean and comfortable. Breakfast is pretty standard fare and plentiful, with fresh fruit, eggs and meat, and what appeared to be freshly baked scones or muffins. The hosts are friendly but somewhat aloof. Its actually a bit more like a boutique hotel than a B&B. Free parking is... More

Excellent position very close to the Museum of BC and centre of Victoria. Secure parking available close to the property. Very comfortable bed in the Superior Queen Suite and the accommodation is good but very open plan. Superb breakfast shared with other guests in first class surroundings. Lovely hosts with nothing too much trouble.

This B&B is just a short walk from the harbour in downtown Victoria on Vancouver Island. The couple who run this place are friendly, cheerful hosts. Our room was right at the top of the building and it was an enormous room. There is also a substantial balcony room at the back with a small fridge. I have never seen... More

The heritage house in which the Robert Porter B&B is located was substantially renovated about 10 years ago, including raising the building and creating B&B suites in the lower floor (where our room was), Nicely finished, good breakfast, underground parking next door, private entrance to our room - all at a price that very reasonable when compared to nearby hotels.... Okay, the below street level rooms are kinda creepy at first, but once you get used to the view....kinda like the old Lavern and Shirley show where they lived in a basement apartment, the place was nice. Certainly not large or luxurious, but fine for a night or two.The hosts were very nice, the breakfasts ample and the location was... More
