Marketa's Bed and Breakfast offers a unique taste of traditional hospitality mixed with European flair. As soon as you walk into this heritage home built in 1912, the panelled walls echo a different era. An era of Edwardian comfort and hospitality, a place to rest and recuperate after a day investigating the many treasures of Victoria BC, the garden city of Canada.

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights. The bedrooms are nice, decorated in a Victorian style. Comfortable bed and a great double jetted tub in the room. Walking distance to lots of great Victoria attractions. Breakfast was excellent- Montreal bagel was very tasty and the eggs Benedict were yummy! The staff are also lovely! Highly recommended for an affordable, comfortable, and great location stay in Victoria.

We stayed almost two weeks in this beautiful place. It is a very well maintained and preserved large house from 1911. It is very nicely appointed and full of beautiful objects, real pleasure for the eye and soul. Marketa is an artist and it shows. Her artistry extends to the kitchen, too. Her food is excellent and plentiful. This place is spotlessly clean. Her and Gee are very welcoming and easy to talk to. Of course, one can not beat the location. It is a walking distance from most of the attractions in Victoria. A real gem!

Marketa’s little inn is a wonderful treasure in the heart of James Bay. Perfect location just a couple of blocks from the Parliament Buildings, and delightful in every way. We were not expecting it, but were pleasantly surprised to discover that our stay included a hearty and delicious breakfast each day. The Eggs Florentino and the homemade muffins are to die for! Everything was sparklingly clean, tastefully appointed, and charming in a by-gone era way...even down to the bottle of port for guests on the sideboard in the parkour. We were able to rent e-bikes close by at the Pedaler Bike Shop, and rode all over Victoria for two days. Marketa kindly let us leave our bikes safely under the stairs overnight. She and her assistant Gee were both warm and welcoming... all in all a great B&B experience. Absolutely loved it all, and HIGHLY recommend!

First time in Victoria and I was not disappointed. Marketa and her team were the best hosts and the facilities are comfortable and decorative. Really close walk to the Black Ball ferry and downtown. I’ll definitely be back. Highly recommended!!
