The hotel is situated up near Chinatown on the very edge of dowtown but easily walkable to all attractions. We got the shuttle from the bus station for 5 dollars well wrth it with cases. Good rooms with aicon. Nice bar area with pool and pool bar and the restaurant was good too. Recommend breakfast quesadillas.

So the reviews don’t look so bad, right? I mean it’s not a five star hotel but nobody was expecting that. Wow, did I need to drastically lower my expectations. You know when you travel with kids and they’re vacation excited and then you see a gross hotel room and all your patience goes? You tell yourself we’ll make the best of it but your skin crawls. We had a night like this here. The carpet is stained, kinda sticky and super dirty. The bathtub is no longer white but yellow and dirty water with floalties from the clogged tub. The air conditioning works subpar. I’d say the wifi is spotty but that would imply it worked sometimes. The elevator is tiny (meaning long waits at peak times and multiple trips for kids stuff)! Front door got stuck closed although fixed that same day. Black Moldy shower curtain. Noisy road traffic. Thin walls could hear neighbours tv. Weird liquid dropped onto our food in mini fridge that was sitting on a dirty shelf. You can’t call down to complain the whole place is pretty gross, I can’t imagine how they could even help you, besides a refund. SPEND THE EXTRA $40-$50 a night and go somewhere else, anywhere else!

The outside/facade of the hotel is not much appealing or up to date but inside it’s a good one! My husband and i stayed here for 3 nights. It’s a quiet place that is near downtown. It’s near to everything! We didn’t brought our car so having the bus stop just outside the hotel is a plus. They have house cleaning everyday! The elevator is small and old but the service, location and the comfort you can get from this hotel made up and even exceeded my expectations! The room we had was wide and with good wifi connection too!

Hidden away inside the Capital City Centre Hotel (which itself has its main entrance on a small side street) you will find a real treasure in the heart of the Capital City: The restaurant is wonderful, very elegant, well kept and meticulously clean; the breakfast is a delicious and exceptional value to the point where you would readily expect to pay at least $5 more for a similar plate at any other Victoria hotel restaurant; but the absolute real treasure is the server. She is a master class in perfect service with a smile, running around to the busy tables without missing a beat, expertly providing continuous table checks, chatting with each and every table, and doing it all while amply demonstrating how much she loves her job. Congratulations, you are truly a star server unlike any I have known!

We stayed here for 4 nights in May. The weather was amazing too. The hotel was on road that the ferry bus drove on which was easy to find. We had a 2 double bed room with stove top and fridge and microwave in it, although you did have to wash your dishes in the bathroom. There was a washer and dryer in hotel. Hairdryer, free wifi, pool with a pool side bar. no spa. The staff were very helpful and friendly. It was a 15 min walk to the water and 30 min walk to downtown but the bus stop is right out the front. you need right money as no change. They do not do credit cards like Vancouver for their buses. There is some hotels around for meals and the hotel does amazing meals, very large. The views from hotel are not great but we didn't spend much time in room any way. I would definitely be staying here again.
