The Villa Marco Polo is a beautiful two storey villa in an upscale, mature neighborhood, just minutes from downtown Victoria. The rooms are all thoughtfully decorated and spacious, with beautiful finishing touches. Quiet and stately and very Tuscan-like with well kept grounds and a substantial water fountain. Some rooms will have a view of the mountains but they are all extremely lovely, just like the hosts Diana and Alex, who seem to understand exactly what hospitality means, making this the perfect line of work for them. Diana prepares all the breakfast elements from scratch, and Alex ensures your dining experience is top notch, which is not so difficult amid classical music, fireplace, view of the expansive garden and delicious muffins, smoothies, fruit cups and egg dishes, everything made extra special with some twist or divine ingredient. There is even a study where you can put your feet up and ponder life while the kettle boils for your third cup of tea. Oh, and Cafe Brio is just down the street, where the charm and attention and delicious food continues in a sultry yet lively atmosphere. Have I mentioned that the many faceted Oak Bay Village is also within walking distance? A couple of coffee spots are also tucked into the neighborhood in almost invisible ways. Sooooo....I guess what I’m saying is that this is the perfect getaway. Away from the day to day stuff, a little escape to ‘Italy’, and a lot of pampering. Which reminds me, you can even request an in-room massage and why not?!

This is an incredible place to stay. Close to downtown, but in a very quiet area. It gives you a perfectly uniquely victorian experience. Beautiful house with a wonderful garden. The breakfast was amazing too.

My husband and I stayed here for a romantic birthday getaway. It was supposed to be for only 2 nights but we loved it so much we stayed a third night. Wonderful hosts, fantastic breakfasts, Diana and Alex accommodated our diet restrictions and went above & beyond expectation. Beautiful spacious room (we stayed in the Persian room) Loved the jacuzzi! Amazing view of the gardens and easy to get around from the Rockland location. Everything was complete perfection, best spot for a little getaway from Vancouver, we can't wait to go back! Highly recommend.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay. Everything about this place is impeccable. We stayed in the beautiful and very spacious Zanzibar room. Our hosts Alex and Diane were friendly, professionals who treated us like royals. The 4 course breakfasts were wonderful and filled us until dinner time. Highly recommend this Inn
